no, I know if I were to get them, now would be an opportune time but since I'm leaving here soon, I deciding not to fork out the extra cash. If/when I get a locker, I know I'll eat a little cash doing them later but I accepted that. It wouldnt happen for a little bit of time anyway.

Getting ready to pick up some UCAs to get some caster back so I've been looking at some install vids. It all seems pretty straight forward. The only concern I have is separating the ball joint. One guy I saw had a special tool for it. Another just pecked it with a ball pean hammer. Pretty easy? Will I need that tool or will the hammer work?

 

Hammer on the flat side of the spindle you'll see it. And use a decent weight hammer or you'll be "pecking" all damn night. What ucas? And it may seem easy. But whatever you don't dick around and put that bolt back in the way it came out. Do it reverse.

Yep. I've been reading up. Just sooo much info out there. Truck is my dd. Lots of mild OR use, occasionally some moderate OR use. Nothing crazy.

 

I like the tool. But with our trucks just beat the hell out of it with a 3lb hammer. Don't be scared.
