ive never had a problem with them, they look at me but i feel like they have better stuff to do than to give someone crap for covers. they wont stay there i have 2 6" bars ill use the covers for on the rear for dust lights since these cut through the dust really good.

 

Looks mean. I haven't seen many 1st Gens with LT and a plate bumper but it looks clean.

 

Paul and I both have LT and plate bumpers haha

thanks! I was thinking about doing custom tube bumpers but i have a ton of $$$$ into the front and rear from relentless and i thought it would give it something different. Im excited to see how it'll all come together with the tundra rear and thing i have planned for it

Taking my truck down to Pismo on May 15, for first time since before I installed LT and did everything else to my truck...Any other Tacos going to be there that wknd!?

How do you setup shock height when building a bedcage? I've searched online but haven't found any info on it

 

Need to pull all but your main leaf. Then flex the springs. Then set your bump height just past negative arch. From there, you set the shocks at full compressed. Usually giving a bit of wiggle room is a nice precaution depending on what bumps your using (rubber or hydros). Once you have the shock taced in you can set the limit strap length.

 

Anybody know of a good place to buy rear limit straps for 2nd gens?

 

One of the only great things TG makes, is 6 ply straps.

 

So finally pulled the trigger on a DK LT kit for the front end with some rear AAL and a bilsteins 5100 (for now) just trying to see if I have everything I need and see if once I get the parts if anyone in san diego wants to have a mod day and help me out with plenty of beer and lots of food I can turn a wrench but don't kno anything about suspension just need helping throwing it in and setting it up right

 

Shock height and angle are important. Some guys bolt the shock up to the axle side, drop out axle, then draw an arch through the top shock eyelet against a piece of plywood or card board. Repeat the same thing with the suspension fully compressed. Where those 2 lines cross is close enough to where you want your top shock mount.
Others shoot for a specific angle or shoot for shock vertical at full bump.
