Does anyone know if 17" Texas Edition wheels would fit on spindles with 285/295 tires without spacers? I can't find any info on backspacing on these wheels. Just know they have 18mm offset..

Found this on a 4runner page, he's sayin divided the wheel width by 2 then add whatever the offset is and that will be the backspacing. This is because offset is how far the mounting surface is offset from the wheel center line...meaning just divide by 2 and add offset and bam you got the backspacing.

And then here's the wheel specs for the spindles themselves. If someone else with 17s could chime in, i think you would have to run spacers, not for the tires but for the backspacing of the Texas edition wheels being 5.25" BS. my 16s have 4.5" BS and they barely cleared the spindle.

I couldn't tell in the pic if they were stock length or ext. I guess I could have compared dirt kings images of the two styles or compared the shock and steering mounting locations. But then again they look the exact same.

And I realize the lowers are made by dirt king and the uppers are icon billet.

Do the 16" beadlock TRD rims have enough backspacing for the spindles?

What's the Back spacing? If it's 4.5in or less yes.

Yep. They do not make LCA's or extended/ LT anything besides the shocks. I asked them again today before I ordered the TC Race Lowers.

Yeah I just thought it was a little odd that the guy asking about them works for a comp that sells suspension components like Icon. That and the fact that Dirt King has this comp as a dealer yet wasn't familiar with Dirt kings products. Maybe he just didn't look at the picture real good or something :)

So why did you go with the TC lowers over the Dirt Kings? Not sure what the price difference is, but they are very similar in design.

    Need help..
I have the Maxtrac 4"kit on my tacoma which is the spindles, 2inch block and Maxtrac rear shocks.. I want to upgrade all 4 shocls.. I think I want the adjustable bilsteins upfront (should I use the same Springs? Or which ones)
For the rear I am not sure what model of bilsteins work best, I only run 2inch block..

If not bilstein what other do you recommend?
    Thanks! In advance

You could always do the 5100 up front and 5125's in the back

Hey fellas, I need some advice. I have the Headstrong Bundle with the MaxTrac Spindles, 5100s, and dakars waiting to go on. Its time for me to purchase some new tires to go with the lift. I have 18" Monsters and am now struggling to figure out what size tire I should pair with these. What size would you recommend? I do not want them to look too small, but do not want to have to deal with rubbing issues either if possible.

285/65/18 Trail Grapplers - Wondering if the 65 series would make them look too small/short with 4" lift?
285/70/18 Toyo MT - Would these rub or fill the gap better?
275/70/18 Trails or Toyos - Would prefer the width of the 285, but if its helps it to not rub....

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Yup, as others have said, 5100 upfront and 5125's in the rear. That is what I just got in the box on the left. They came recommended for the exact lift you indicated by many veteran members here as well as a reliable retailer, headstrong offroad. 20150428_182604.jpg

    Ok thx!
But I saw a lot of different measurements for 5125s on downsouthmotorsport dot com not sure if that's a good website..
