Thanks! It is the Firestik adjustable hood hinge mount. I adjusted it full 90* to be perpendicular to the tailgate. I guess I'll just see what happens with my air filter then..... It's already done :(

Awesome, I'll have a look for that mount then. Also I wouldn't worry too much about the filter, if the truck starts losing performance, idling weird, or stuttering on takeoff. Then just clean the MAF with some MAF cleaner and ditch the K&N. It is really more of an inconvenience, in rare cases they have been known to destroy a MAF completely but I'd doubt that would happen (there's no way you saturated it that much, it shouldn't be soggy)

I'd rather the filter catch more dust anyway, so I'll just see what happens. I'm pretty sure I'll be fine

Yup, always good to make sure none of dirt and brake dust makes it into the combustion chamber.

How's the CT70 coming along, I used to have a CT90 and my friend had a CT50. They are fun little things, and pretty darn capable when it comes to actually using them on a trail.

I haven't ordered anything yet, because I still don't really know what all I need to convert it to a 12 volt system.

Thanks! I never close the deck plate unless I am in really dusty areas or off road. I've driven through some ridiculous rain storms and it always stays dry inside.

Yes you can! If you over oil it it'll get oil all over your mass air flow sensor, making it run like a bag of ass and possibly frying it! That's why I prefer dry filters! My truck came with a K&N I swapped it out for a stock filter, then to an aFe filter. Plus oiled filters will hold dust and such.

Do you have a picture of how that CB mount is attached to the sidewall of the tailgate light area? I just want to see what kind of holes I'm gonna need to make.

No holes needed. I bolted the tailgate latch around it. I'll get a pic here in a minute

That'd be awesome, I wasn't sure if there would be enough clearance if it went under the latch. Looking forward to the pics! :)

@Speedytech7 Here's some photos. It does make the gate harder to open and close, but I bet you could just grind off a little of the mount to thin it up a bit.

Oh, that's not at all what I had pictured. Thanks for the picture, it makes more sense now. Well I am going to buy the mount now, no point in letting the CB and antenna I got just sit around unused.
