You're welcome. There might be a better mount out there, I just used this because I wanted to install it in the hood channel at first.

I've searched around a bit and the only decent one I could find was the BAMF one. He has been out of stock for a while on them, any they aren't stainless steel so I'd have to paint it (not a deal breaker, but not good for using as a ground for the antenna). How were your SWRs on when you tuned your CB?

Not sure on SWR's because I got tired of messing with it myself and took it to a pro. I said "fix it" and he had it done in 5 minutes and 20 bucks. I have an NGP antenna, so I didn't mess with grounding either.

I have the BAMF mount and good SWR make sure you isolate the stud and the mount so it doesn't ground out. I put 2 rubber washers between the stud and mount and it works fine (haven't used it in a while so :notsure: )

Alrighty, well either way I'm sure I can get it how I need it. I have an SWR meter floating around somewhere. Thanks for all the help!

Hardest part I found was making sure it didn't ground out somewhere, just try different things to make sure it either gets a good ground or doesn't ground out, only PITA about it

Oooooor you just get a NGP antenna and not worry about grounding at all. My radio is only for trail use and very short range comms. No need to talk to Mars with my CB. That's what the HAM will be for eventually!

I should probably check my SWR. It's been a long time since I had it tuned

That's what I loved about my 4xinnovations sliders. Quick turnaround!

Wasn't my favorite design initially but it grew on my and works great.

I like the SOS design, but needs more kickout.

That's one reason I didn't go with those, and the wait time is crazy!
