my mileage has always been shitty. Not sure why. I don't drive like a grandma but I certainly don't think it's a trophy truck either lol.

I wonder if bad O2 sensors would drop mpgs by that much.

I'm positive it's mostly because I have a sail on my roof. And the bigger heavier tires certainly don't help. And bumper...basically, I'm blaming it all on Ben.

20% tint on all windows, Deckplate mod, satoshi-ish grille, blacked out and/or body matched emblems, rattle canned rims, red l.e.d. interior lights, bilstein 5100's and OME 881 coils , deaver 8 leaf pack, 1.5" lift shackle, alpine sound system, 55w HID lightforce 140 and 170 fogs
the RTT on the roof is nottttt helping. But I average in the 17-18 range pretty consistently. If I'm on the highway it can easily be at 20-21.

And yeah, bad o2 sensors can make weird things happen with MPG. Are you throwing any codes?

A few weeks ago on the way to seward I threw a p0420 which I believe is O2 sensor related. Cleared it and it hasn't happened again. :notsure:

The O2 sensor that throws that code isn't responsible for Air/Fuel ratio... But it could be a sign the O2 sensor(s) that is (are) responsible are starting to go.

It's a good sign the O2 sensors are on their way out

P0420 can also be cat related. Which would also explain the shitty mileage

I'm amazed that you, @AkArin who talks incessantly about how good you are at ripping people off or 'hustling' as you call it, would ever have the notion to question ANYONE else's maturity.

Lol, maybe. I'd rather not though.

anyway, if it is indeed the cat or o2 sensor going out, would that affect mpgs that much? I'm thinking instead of 13 or 14 mpg I should be getting closer to 15 or 16.

Yes. Either of those things can affect mileage. Especially the cat

Hmm. Im not sure how to pull the rear o2 sensor. I can't see how you remove the shield to access it. I want to pull and test it and replace if need be.

Hmm.. not sure either. I threw a code one day and when I climbed under my truck to look around the upstream sensor was just hanging by the wires and flopping around outside of the exhaust pipe haha

Lol I don't think mine is that bad. I do have some rattling noise around the muffler/rear o2 sensor when I'm idling. I've heard of the sensor falling apart inside too. I'll have to look closer this weekend.

There are far too many examples of people with integrity being highly successful in business to entertain that idea.
