    UPDATE

Second prototype installed, further tweaks made:

    Cable holes added

Rear bracket bumped back up to 3/16, material removed to save weight for shipping

The Titan straps hold like a bear:

The next step is to make a production piece and use it for a little while, then get these out on the street.

This was a big concern early on in the project, but......

    - People use those huge mirror extensions all the time when they tow RV's
    - Many trucks are wider than a Tacoma with a couple bikes bikes hanging off the side.

There is a slight "tilt" built into it, to make the bikes lean towards the middle of the truck.

    Nooooooo sir!!

The fork mounts don't grip the fork tight enough to grip if you did that. The bike would just fall over.

You could rotate them up to 45°, but no more.

The front tire goes in the bed, and the fork attaches to a fork mount.

As usual Chad... Good execution of a idea

I didn't go through the entire thread but I would recommend rounding the corners off (probably was mentioned) so someone walking by wouldn't inadvertently cut themselves on the edges.

USPS got fucked up somewhere. Supposed to be delivered today. Depending on the time I'll either get them on today or tomorrow.

I really like this. I wonder how far out the bars would stick... These English roads get pretty tight sometimes..

It will still be more narrow than a F250.

    True......

I'm in then, can't wait for the final product. How's the longevity of the straps looking so far?

They're very tough. They add some cost, but I want this to be a quality package.

Anything is possible, but I want to concentrate on the basics of this thing for right now.
