    Hey all,

I was rushed into buying a new vehicle and really didn't have time to get into detail of everything I wanted before I bought my truck. It's a black 2014 4x4 double cab and still paying it off, got it for 35k.

It doesn't have a rear lock which is now something that I realize I want to have, I just want to know what you guys would do in my position or any opinions on the matter.

Curious how you were rushed into buying a new vehicle.

As for an opinion on what to do, I'm guessing you don't wheel as you didn't realize what you were buying in the first place, so based on that I would just keep what you have. Don't intend to sound mean, but just trying to stop one bad decision for another.

    .....
If you have TRD sport than you dont have elocker, but easiest fix for you is to drop Tuetrac in the rear diff and be done with it.

Well I'm planning on doing some, I'm 23 and this is my first vehicle I bought. My first was a hand down that was given to me and was being taken back, so I wouldn't have anything and I have a job and school I have to get to. :/

You are in Texas so you will not be doing some crazy slippage rock crawling. Truetrac in rear will serve you well.
Look at this guys they can send you whole thing all you need is to swap it in..

See I'm kinda in the same boat didn't get rushed into a truck but the one I wanted had a waiting list and I needed a truck it's only 2wd I kno there's is a way to throw a locker in them for fairly cheap if you need it. At least you got 4wd though

Yeah, I knew for a fact I'd want it. My old vehicle was a 2003 chevy tracker that had it and I used it in Washington / Oregon in the snow. I guess I'm just torn.

I feel like I should have gotten an off-road and just made it look like a sport. Then I'd just put my money towards 35's, a lift to fit them, and wheels.

The sport axle is stronger fyi. I would just spend the money on locker and you are good to go.

Sport axle is stronger? as an off road owner please explain. Seriously, not being an ass just never heard that.

On my end, i wanted the locker and went all winter without using it. Didn't seem useful in snow.

The sport is 8.4 inch and the off road is 8.0 inch in the rear end. There is a bracket in the diff house to give it extra support.
