A heads up to iPhone users out there, thinking about installing a
remote start option. Its starting to get cold, winter is
around the corner.

There is a new remote start app for the iPhone, called the
Viper SmartStart. All the features of the Viper Remote start
now for the iPhone.

Crazy how cool this really is. Check the site for info.

I am seriously thinking of getting this, anyone have any experience
with the Viper Alarm/Remote start units?

Unfortunately, it only works with the iPhone at the moment.

 

i just installed mine a couple weeks ago..a buddy of mine helped me out..

 

Are you liking it? How are the features? Worth it you think?
After looking it over some more, I am really digging the features.

i only installed the remote start..not the smartstart..the remote start is so worth it..its starting to get chilly and i like warming up the motor and cabin before i jump in..im in the army so im usually up really early

the smartstart thing seems cool but at 300 bucks?i will wait..i spent almost 300 on the viper 5901 and the PKALL module..price on the smartstart will drop..i got other stuff that i wanna spend 300 bucks on..

wet okoles is probably the next on my list..always jumping in the truck after a workout or breaking brush in my uniform

 

I hear you on the price of the add on. I was thinking about the whole
unit install for $499. I don't have the remote start option myself. Was curious
if the viper system was solid.

so far so good with the viper remote start..one thing i may add is that dont get the remote that has the little screen...screen sratches easily..there is another remote with a LED light that does pretty much the same thing..

on another note..thank you for serving also..i have no problem serving in the ARMY..

 

I can't believe you can use the features of that remote on the iPhone.
Its going to be pimp, no need for extra piece. I'm blown away after thinking about that.
