There is a lot of discussion about the MPG of these vehicles. I recently took a trip and here is my report. I used both 10% ethanol and pure gas. The pure gas got me around 2 MPG more than the 10% ethanol.

    Total miles driven 2797
    Total gallons used 119.472
    average MPG 23.411
    top speed 67 MPH
    average moving speed 53MPH
    Best MPG per tank 24.71
    lowest MPG per tank 22.03

Those numbers are about 80% HWY and the rest is city driving. Air conditioner was not used. No scan gage involved. All figures are from hard numbers from the odometer and calculated out.

3000 miles. That's a pretty good trip. I can not get numbers like that burning ethanol. I have gotten 23mpg, 4.0, 65-70mph, 99.9% hwy. I assume you have a 4.0:notsure: New TW setup:annoyed:

Where can you find pure gas these days? Seems like they all "contain up to 10% ethanol".

Yes it is a 4.0 manual transmission, all stock, except the 3 inch lift.

In WI the gas stations usually advertise pure gas. They have found as the public becomes more educated that they want pure gas.
