Apparently it does. I posted a while ago when I had 2 identical Honda Accords for sale. One was Mexican built and one was Japan built. The Japan one really did feel like it was put together better. They were the same trim BTW. Id say my Mexican one was better condition than the Japan built one. The guy who bought my Japan built car went over both very closely and said he just doesn't want a Mexican made car. Spent more on the Japan built one that had more miles. His preference, does it really make a difference for me? No, I sold both cars.

And it isn't just dumb labor, you need to be skilled to do this job. Check this link. http://www.autonews.com/article/201...onda-like-problems-plague-new-plant-in-mexico

"Honda's bumpy road with its Mexico plant raises a warning flag for other automakers that are rushing to ramp up production in that country to take advantage of low labor costs, free-trade agreements with key export markets and insulation from fluctuations in the yen."

"Harbour, the auto production expert, said Mexico presents manufacturers with many challenges as well as advantages. With so many new plants springing up, finding enough skilled workers isn't easy, he said."

Huh, low labor costs means worse quality work. They say it right there, they are having trouble finding skilled labor. This is a job that requires skill.

I'd take a Japan, USA, or Canadian built car long before a low paid Mexican makes my car.

I see what you mean now, thanks. And TRDSPORT
    This
Is the TRD Pro offered in DCLB? Being an offroad variant AND having the 6MT I would expect it not to.

We can agree that you have a PreRunner with a 5' bed. :anonymous:

Kidding aside we'll never see a 6MT in a DCLB with a TRD OFF ROAD trim. Or any version like it with 4X4 and a locking rear.

I can't tell if you're reiterating my post or if you think I proposed a dclb 6mt off road model.

Either way you're saying what I said.

My "guy" is thinking mid to late next week at the earliest, but probably the week after Mother's Day. Nothing is queued up in the computer.

Until Toyota loads it into the computer and there are selections to make, we are but leaves in the wind. They know, but I'm in the position to be able to interrogate, uh, ask anyone who'd know.

I'm going to try to distract myself with the new Avengers movie today (it's a documentary about me). After that, it's back to Taco watch.

I want the limited and have an agreement in writing to get one. I would like the limited with a hood scoop, but I doubt thats going to happen..... I think to get the hood scoop you have to get the off road

Nobody knows the breakout of the models. The hood scoop is the TRD Sport.

I'm hoping they have a TRD LIMITED SPORT model with tow package, leather, everything...... ;) Color will be the biggest decision.
