So I put my tires on tonight just to take a look and I'm rubbing somewhere. Even going straight it sounds like its rubbing. Did my pinch welds and fender screws and they clear at full lock both sides. I have no idea why it sounds like its rubbing going straight. Checked the UCA's, wheels, wheel weights, calipers, and drums and everything has clearance. Im lost.

I didn't have an impact, but I had to do this, too. Ended up cutting the bolt on the driver's side. Then got some new ones to put in there.

Really!? Weird! Have you jacked it up and spun a wheel by hand? If its rubbing it'll be 100% obvious! If its rubbing you should be able to feel it along with hearing it. Its not the new tires rumbling down the road is it?

Full ome lift, nitro charger sports all 4 corners (rear shocks relocated), Dakar pack w/ AAL, 882 coils, diff drop, toytec 1" shackles, trail gear low profile front bumper, Tuff Stuff winch, bamf sliders, RAT skids, BAMF Bed Rack, Tepui Kukenam RTT, RAT rear bumper,
I wouldn't worry about it til you get the lift on and aligned. Then start diagnosing rub. You will have to trim a bit with tall tires like those.

Is it one of those engine aprons maybe hanging in the way?

Found out the cutouts on the wheels (the holes) were flared on the backside and contacting the inside of the caliper. A couple 5mm spacers will do the trick.

Seriously. Im almost positive that Toyota designed these to be cut off only. I had a 5' breaker bar on it and nothing. Plan on buying the front hanger bolts beforehand.

Stamped steel Soft 8? Just the small hub spacer from any parts house will do.

You may want to swap studs out, too. '04 Matrix rear studs will work. They have the same knurl as the Tacoma but are longer. The shoulder is longer, too.

I made a thread 'OEM+' in the 1st Gen forum somewhere with more info if you're curious.

Well that puts a damper on things. Finding replacement bolts today or tomorrow morning so I can do the swap is looking pretty slim. My local Toyota dealer closes their parts department on Friday and isn't back until Monday.

May not be seized, at the very least crawl under and put a wrench on the bolt and nut, loosen the nut and see if the bolt itself will turn. If it does, you should be okay.

Grade 8 bolts will fit as a replacement for your leafs. I can't remember the size off hand, but I think it was 1/2" bolt 5" in length. I'd recommend getting greasable bolts though, or you will end up in the same predicament you are in now.

Somone recently provided the size. I think it is about 100mm long. I know when I looked around, this was right bewteen the 4 and 5 inch bolts I found...and it has to be just right, especially on the gas tank/driver side.

Someone wrote this "The bolt size is M14 x 1.5 x 100mm long grade 8. I think the dealership charges around 17 bucks a pop"

    _ front spring hanger bolt - #901-05-14025 ------- dealer ~$8 / online ~$4
    _ accompanying nut - #901-79-14039 ---------------------------/ online ~$1.50
    _ accompanying washer - # 902-01-14005 ----------------------/ online ~$1.50

My dealer only charged $8 each, maybe $10 w/ the nut. -

Anyways, you only have one dealer ship? Start calling your local Metric fastener supply house, they likely aren't open on weekends?
Try to find ones that are not fully threaded, having the shoulder will be nice, but not a biggie. You can likely find a close SAE bolt
    to fit.
    Good luck.

I've had luck at NAPA and CarQuest for random bolts on Saturdays. Catch them before noon though.

Well, after a painstaking rear spring removal (cut everything but the kitchen sink), I started assembling. One of the OME shackle nuts stripped while torquing to spec. Not that big of a deal, just another shit to add to the shit pile. Then, I go to put the shocks on and the leafs won't let the axle compress enough to get the shock on its mount. Only shy by like....3" HA!. I put 5 spare wheels and tires in the bed as well as the old leaf springs to give her some weight and still won't let me compress them enough to mount. So I gave up for tonight. Exhausted, full of band-aids, and covered in rust/dirt/grease..... time to unwind.

Beer-30 my friend  it'll be easier tomorrow once you walk away. That's what I've always found when I'm working on the truck. Walk away for a few hours come back and boom. Smooth like butter. Haha

I don't understand why your shock won't reach, doesn't make sense to me. Basically your saying it's like you are fully drooped past the reach of shock right? Are you trying to reuse the oem shock or something? Sorry about your shackle bolt that sucks.
