Long Travel BS Thread

    The rebound looks pretty good, it almost looks like the comp is too stiff, is it botteming out at all through those whoops?

    I was running the stock valving before which was a 10 stack flutter on comp and it bucked horribly. This time I actually was able to run the entire stretch of whoops which I have never been able to do before. It wasn't exactly pretty but it wasn't as bad as it would have been with that 10 stack.

    I am using all of my up travel in the whoops when I checked the shock shafts. I've got my bumps set at 60 psi as well to try to make sure it wasn't them causing me to buck. Though it could still be. From ride height I get into my bumps in about 2 inches up.

    I should probably shorten my 4" bumps but those 4" are nice for hucks.

    My rig weighs 6K+ loaded up with me in it. It makes that DMZ leaf pack settle in pretty good... I'll probably add a leaf or two down the road but for now I'm a low rider...

    Only so much you can do with limited up travel on leafs, looks pretty good

    So my best bet is adding leafs to trade some down for up travel? I've got about 6" up and 10" down right now.

    If you're 2" from bumps I'd shorten the bumps or add a leaf, more up travel the better, on my old Deaver pack I had 13" of uptravel

    Did you have a stock frame or was it notched for more up travel? If I was running 13" of up travel with my setup I would be running like 8" of lift.

    He was backhalfed with his links also. Stock frame ended at the rear of the cab.

    Worth it to notch the frame a hair to get 2.5 bypasses as close in as possible? I see alot of people running spacers to prevent rubbing. I'm looking into 3.5 BS rims to get a little more width and wondering if its worth it.

    Also just considering a new Tundra axle if I can find one at a junk yard nearby...

    I notched my frame to run the bypasses inboard more to help with clearance. I'm still running a 1.5" spacer but would still need one at full articulation. Could get away with a smaller spacer, but don't feel like buying another.

    Didn't you also chop your frame at the cab? Or is that with the stock frame at the notch?

    Taking about my leafs smart guy, no it was just stock frame, I still have my stock frame but with a notch now with the links. But that's on a pickup
