All good finds. I'd scoop those wheel guns up before the 1911s, but that's just me. What's the deal with the barrel/muzzle/flash suppressor thing on the S12? Screw on or permanent?

Some FAL's and some of my AK collection (RPK variety). I'm in CA, if you want to know why they have the kydex fin grip for compliance and mag locks

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
Nice collection. Such a shame you have to modify those weapons for compliance.

at least nothing is permanent. When I go to my parent's in Vegas, it's back to normal in about a minute. The laws are that silly.

The Barrel shroud is screw on and is nothing more than an attempt to help reduce muzzle raise as it adds some weight….

Well, here is what I picked up today from the same estate sale….

Even know these are used they seem to either have not been shot very much or very little at all or have been cleaned very well each time.

I guess there is a very large demand for the Nighthawk but the lady told me I will have first dibs since I have come through with the cash for the guns so far everyone else has jerked her chain.

X2. Love mine too. I've also got the CT "lazer" grips on mine. What do you use for a holster? I've got a Talon IWB that I use, because I usually carry at 5 or 6 O'Clock.

Here are a few pictures from a nice day at the range. Finally got out without any rain.

This is my 450 yd range.

Completed this build a couple months ago. Started with a Remington 700 in .308, McMillan A-5 stock, Weaver scope, and Harris bi-pod

Very nice! I love the 700 for it's simplicity and dead on accuracy. How is the McMillan for comfort?

The A-5 is a very nice stock for prone shooting, especially with heavy fill and rounds that generate more recoil. The stock is fairly large and a bit cumbersome to pack longer distances though. The fixed comb version works best with a 40mm scope mounted low as possible as the comb height is not very tall. Plan on adding a pack or getting the adjustable comb for larger scopes.

It has a wide forearm and a parallel toe with hook. Those don't fit some styles of shooting and is something to think about before getting the A-5 over the A-2 or 3.

I really like the A3-5 for short action rounds in a carry rifle. The forearm of the A-3 and butt of the A-5.

So far, so good. Haven't had many opportunities to really break it in. As Kodiak mentioned, the whole rig is a bit heavy, but I don't plan to carry it far. It's my first bolt action rifle. Being left handed I went lever action most of the time. My deer rifles are a Winchester Model 94 30/30 and a Browning Lightning BLR, which is a lever action, in 30.06
