Back in Tampa, the plan is to do some fly fishing around the Ruskin area tomorrow.

In 'll honesty, the Keys fishing was not so hot. Not really a deal breaker, because it's easy to fall back to do some serious drinking...which we did. The food in the area is to die for. Food, drinking and fishing, No place does it better than the Florida Keys. We nailed 2, out of 3!

Keys dining tip: Any meal you order most any place down there can be split between 2 people. Leave some room for drinks. The Keys take their meal proportions seriously. You will be plenty full going halvsies.

As a bonus, I got to meet up with my brother and my dad. Funny, my brother lives 20 minutes away back in Michigan, but it was easier to get together with him 2000 miles away. Go figure.

Prolly shouldn't be talking about food. I forgot one of the members of this thread was battling a bout of food poisoning in the family. I apologise and hope things get better quick. Topic is officially changed back to the regular, scheduled program.

    Morning TW :)

I'm putting together plans for some serious baking. BUT, I am not starting yet. Normally not a superstitious person, but not taking any chances at all when we are this close....

Here's the first hot soak start attempt after installing my 4 Runner injectors. The truck sat for 30min and here is how it went:

I consider that to be a good start but I think a few more hot soak starts are a good idea to see how things are going, but for right now things are going ok so far for now ish

That's the real deal! As long as these are repeatable, we should have a winner!

I will be honest and admit that I had my doubts the issue was injectors. In this case I will be very happy to admit that I'm wrong.

Give me 5 more hot test starts to ease all our minds. I'm rooting in a big way.

    Glad it is almost finished

Just one of those freak things or was it compounded by the injectors not being flow tested and cleaned correctly at the time of the engine install

just to throw this in the pot, im told a weak battery that might still crank fine and spin the engine smartly can be below the CCA limit and cause starting issues. heat soak can influence this since battery conditions change with temperature.

do I think that's it, I dunno :notsure:, but what the hell, try another battery somewhere along the line just in case.

my outboard motor wont start or struggles to start with excessive cranking if the ECM reads lower CCA then it should be but it still spins the hell out of the engine

We replaced the battery with a new Interstate battery a couple weeks ago. Thanks though Keakar! :)
