Oh well then it's probably fine.

 

I don't know that I'll use it. Still not sold in SASing my truck and definitely won't do it until I pay it off next August. But I'll take the axle. If I end up not using it, I'll pass it along to someone else in our wheeling group.

 

Quick, what's the LBJ bolt torque spec?

 

Pro Comp 7069

 

59 ft-lbs with Loctite. I usually use blue, no need for the high strength stuff. You just want to keep it from vibrating loose.

 

Yeah as stated above they are the Pro Comp 7069 alloys. 4'' backspace -12 offset. Made mounting 285's easy with zero rubbing so far.

 

The fitment is a little weird. You have to undo the brake line clips and move it out of the way slightly. The cover ends up welding to the factory welds pretty much

 

I had a chance to hold one up to my truck on our last mod day, I cant say for sure if it would fit, but just holding it up to the truck I didn't see any issues.

Replaced my Bank1 Sensor2 O2 sensor after getting a engine codeP0420 hopefully this will fix it. At 243,692 miles on the original one. I pulled the old sensor right off its mount because the bolts were rusted into oblivion and rethreaded the studs with 2 new M8x1.25mm nuts from Home Depot. Total cost was $53.00(Amazon.com) for

$70 Denso 234-4189 Oxygen Sensor

Denso 234-4189 sensor and about $2.50 for the 2 nuts(the stealer wanted $4.61 per nut!). This thread helped a lot https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/rear-o2-sensor-done.142451/ now its Miller time

 

My poor engine is limping on its last leg now. Won't even get 200k out of it. There goes any plans of wheeling this year.

 

That's really unfortunate. What's wrong with it? Mine is at 170K. It's healthy but I'm beginning of thinking what I'll do if decides to die on me. I drive it like 20K per year. I'm planning on getting a small car as daily driver to save the Taco.

Also, are you going to get another engine? What's your plan?

 

x2 on whats wrong with it? I'm at 180k miles currently on mine and still runs like a top.

 

I think I either blew a head gasket or cracked the block. I'm losing coolant on the passenger side block. I boosted hard up a hill for a while and I think that did it in. I saw my temp gauge go up and coolant was boiling out of the overflow tank so I pulled off the highway and got some water to dump in. I can see the block is wet but no coolant in my oil. If I get it above 2000 rpm it starts surging once in a while and is way under powered. It's close to not drivable.

I'm getting a really loud whining noise. I think its the power steering. Just found out we are suppose to run ATF III in the power steering. Did anybody else know this???

 

no noises from it though? I know this would be a PITA but pulling the SC would be helpful to diagnose. and all the piggy back stuff.

 

I don't think the brake line was even in the way it felt like the cover wasn't built for my rear diff haha like the factor cover was blocking the marlin cover from getting even close to weldable position.

 

I'm going to sell it. I'm done with boost.

I didn't hear anything unusual, but when I took the exit ramp off the highway the engine died while I was coasting to the stop sign. When I restarted the engine it took a bit to get it going. That's when it developed a strange surge over 2000 rpm if I gas it much at all. I haven't boosted since then. I'm scared too.
