Nice bookending on the back boards. Subtle, almost looks like Stickley inlay

It's actually 1/4" MDF core VG Fir veneered sheet stock . I liked that grain feature , that's why I picked that sheet

I know the drawing sucks! Sorry!

Alright guys, I need help and I need it quick. Gotta get this tackled before a b-day party next in a week.

10'x10' deck addition. It will be ground level/floating deck. The ground is not level and does slope and I have 4x4 posts to accommodate on top of pier blocks.

I am starting by locating the placement of my pier blocks. I can not for the life of me figure out how to determine exact locations and place them.

I think attaching the ledger board to the existing deck may be a good place to start but not sure.

The pier block locations are depicted by the drawn in squares.

    12" in from deck edge @ 16, 64, and 96

    5' in at 32, 64, and 112.

The 112" edge is the end that attaches to the existing deck.

    HELP!!

Looks great as usual. Are there pics of your home from the exterior? The interior work you've done is really amazing, I was just curious what style of home it is that brings it all together.

No exterior pics , it's kind of a Craftsman style / west coast hybrid

If that was 2 panes of glass that would be exactly like my front door

Extreme energy efficiency, but the occasional marauding nazgul is a bit offputting.

That may be, but it's hard to file a claim if you've had your soul removed or are recently undead. Unless a palantir is included, I think I'll pass.

That's the way I was trying. It was 1030 at night and I was tired.

I think the best way will be to hang my ledger board on the existing deck, then measure and stake strings.

Got the gas mileage down to 13mpg! Modification complete
Craftsman style is how I did my whole house. I did modern/craftsman. But the design of the house is a Texas ranch. Love the simple lines of craftsman trim though.
