NW WA Meet / BS Thread

    May i suggest Checking out what i call "the loop?" @rl206 and i tackled it a few weeks ago (Pics and trail routing) and got shut down by snow. But i bet if you go up there now, it's probably all melted off. Great for beginners who are looking for some FS roads and pretty scenery.

    This road on the other hand follows some powerlines on the southwest side of Lake Keechelus and offers a few challenges, steep climbs and one or two tricky spots. I would suggest not going alone, spotters are useful for the tricky spots.

    Looks awesome Nick! We had the same idea with leaving it attached to the cross bars and just using those to lift :thumbsup:

    Are you referring ot the tent or the storage setup lol. I had the tent set up in probably 10 minutes but it was my first time. I could see it taking more like 5 minutes now. Its really simple. unzip the cover, unfasten a couple straps, extend ladder and pull tent open. Once its open its just a matter of putting a couple other parts in and its fully setup.

    As for the pulley setup...it works pretty well now. Couple hiccups with it but nothing to bad. Most annoying is the "feet" of the thule have to have a button depressed to lift. So have to put some tension on it then walk to each corner to release them. Same when coming down ill have to slowly let it down and try to position it at the same time. The other part that sucks is just how a pulley works. I need more room from the pulley to the winch. But i dont have enough lol. So i had to sort of winch it up till the knot hit the "down pulley". Then have to slide the prussiks up so i can take the weight of the winch. Unhook the winch from those two loops and move them to a different set of loops and the winch it the final length up.

    Im sure there is a better way but thats all i have for now lol. And it works just fine and wont be going up and down all that often

    Haha yeah I meant the pulley setup, shouldve specified hah.
    Sounds kind of complicated but looks like it works pretty well! Im sure there is a better way but hey if it works well why change it for now.

    Its actually pretty simple. The only issue i have is just the fault of it being a pulley setup lol. I dont remember the exact formula but its basically for each pulley it takes 2' of pulling to move the pulley 1' up. Well something like that. Where i put the setup works good for putting it on the truck but didnt leave enough room to pull in enough rope to raise the tent all the way up. Not to big of deal just a bit annoying

    Trying out some mobile uploading...
    Took the bike out to Raymond via some back roads and got to see some great Americana. For you guys who like the more scenic rides, there might be some quality roads. Hits gravel around the north river Grange. Also a questionable dive bar that might not be too scary? I opted to go to the DQ in Raymond.

    This is to BoatRacer, Dakota and who ever else was thinking about/ordered a BAMF shock relocation. Mine looked like this when I received it but there is supposed to be another plate welded in front of the back plate for the shock to bolt to. Costed me an hour and a half of labor time to fab it up for both sides and weld it in. Just an FYI make sure you look at your bracket before going to install it.

    All Pro front bumper, Warn winch, leds, Dakar leaf pack, locker wire mod.
    I ordered mine welded, I sure hope they come finished correctly. That is, if they ever show up here.
    I'm taking my truck to a fab shop this coming weekend to get the track bar and shock tabs welded on the new rearend. Would sure be nice to have these by then.

    Did you let Jerry know what you found? I'm curious how it will be handled. I'm holding off buy anything else from BAMF until I see how he handles my issue with these brackets.

    I would tell him but he won't return my calls. I'll leave another message here soon. Also you'll probably need longer lower shock mount bolts as mine are barely long enough just to thread into the nut. I'll be getting longer ones next week

    If anyone is interested this Friday Greddy and I are leaving to go camping up Salmon La Sac then come home Saturday afternoon/evening. Going to scout the snow and flex out our new suspension. Must be lifted though as I have done it stock and knocked my rear bumper pretty good on rocks.
