Drain plug is on the opposite side. That's the biggest difference. I also think the housing is bigger.

I was told its cause PS fluid is highly flammable in a roll over ect, while ATF has a no flammable agents to cause an issue..

I am sure there is more to it as well.

    Who knows.

hmm i mean i know it wouldn't be a perfect fit but it doesn't seem crazy far off.. if he just did some grinding in the red circled area to get the drain plug to be able to unscrew.

Yea thanks for the reminder lol.. It was 2g's even (get 400 back though) w/ the ARB. so i guess it was about 7-800 for just the gears

ATF gives a lighter feel to the steering wheel, that's pretty much it. ATF burns just fine when it gets hot. So does antifreeze.

I know he said it didn't hit the brake line but you can clearly see on the left side that it's hitting the brake line. It looks like mine did when I held it up to my rear. Should be able to make it fit pretty easily tbh. Even on the right rear end it doesn't weld to the flat housing it welds to the rounded "pumpkin" and most of it welds directly to the factory welds.

Well ,my phone doesn't cooperate with the new upgrade on the website. I can't multi quote...anyways,

So that's how I realized I had the wrong fluid in the PS. Just bought a lexus and
I am getting ready to flush all the fluids. When I saw that the lexus PS calls for ATF III, I knew the tacoma had to be the same ....I replaced it and it seems to have gotten a bit quieter. Ill give it a few more days...thanks for the input gents! :)

that's what I figured, if I ordered it by mistake like that I would defintely try to make it fit.

Hmm supposedly they are in the process of shipping out my built 3rd from ECGS. I looked at my bank account 3 or 4 days ago and the charge to them was pending but as of today/last night the charge disappeared from my bank statement.. Strange..

Also got my OEM oil filter in the mail just now and hopefully I can go pick up my redline oil from fedex this afternoon.

One of my buddies has a 2000 3rd gen 4 runner and he's going to give me the cbi ditch light brackets before he sells it. Does anyone know if they will fit my Tacoma?

Hmm I dunno why I was so sure about it earlier.. Just checked their website and they look identical, might want to give CBI a call too make 100% sure.. Worst case you could probably get them to fit w/ slight grinding.

The "fill" plug is clearly not on the opposite side.. however the housing is definitely larger.

The cover isn't hitting the plug it's hitting the part of the housing that sticks out the most
It's not hitting the brake line it won't go past the housing where it sticks out in the middle.

You could do the tripod leg thing like I did and do it off the back so it shines down on the tail gate area.

Ooooo or you could run it to the bumper!

Yea to keep it a reverse light. Hell, cut a hole and sit it back some of you want. But be easy to just mount it on that flat part.
