    I have a few mods
my standards came with the bushings, but not the ubolts. I ended up using my old Rough Country ubolts until I was able to get the ubolt flip kit from All Pro

Hey guys, I am having the 4" spindles put on soon and wanted to put 33" tires. Does anybody have any experience with this? My main question is if you need to trim anything with a 4" lift?
I have heard people had to trim some for 33" tires with a 3" lift, but wondering if it's the same with 4" lift?

    Thanks guys!

Yes you will need to trim, there are some 17" wheel combinations that have slight / minimal rubbing but in all cases you will need to trim the plastic . . .

I have a post a couple pages back of a members truck with the 4" kit & 285's. As far as I know the only rubbing was on the mud flaps, after he removed them I believe it was good.

I have the 4in on 285s and I only rubbed a little bit of plastic, nothing that a box cutter can't take care of in 30 seconds.

Thanks for the quick replies, guys!!
The shop where I am taking my truck said that with these lifts the only time I would ever notice a rub is if I go to full crank when pulling a u-turn or something. Just wanted to make sure with others who have this same lift.
I guess if there is a little rub, I can do a small trim.

    Thanks again!

So, I am having the spindles put on with Bilstein 5100 height adjustable in the front.
The shop is telling me that there is a small "rattle" when it goes over a bump because the top plate cannot tighten down any more with the struts set at zero. I don't fully understand what he is explaining because I am a medical guy, not a vehicle guy. Does anyone else have an issue with bilstein height adjustable struts with the maxtrac spindles?

There shouldn't be a problem, the Maxtracs are designed to be used with the stock suspension or aftermarket.

Correct, it is not a problem with the maxtracs but with the Bilstein 5100 height adjustable I guess. I don't understand struts so I'm lost on the true issue. Something about a small gap at the end plate causing a little rattle when I go over a bump.

I guess maybe having the shock set at zero is not compressing the coil enough and so there is a little gap at the end plate??

Yeah that doesn't make sense to me. 5100's set @ 0 should be the same as stock. We installed some Maxtracs about a month ago on a members truck & he kept his stock struts with no issues.
They should fit, like I said set @ 0 should be the same length as stock. In theory compressing them would make the strut longer. Seems like they didn't do something right.

What would there be to forget though? It's just replacing one shock with the other. I am so frustrated right now and I'm stuck at work unable to see it myself. Grrrrr
