I'm afraid of the dark, that's why i (will soon have) lots of lights on my tacoma. and leave the tint stock.

I just matched the front with the back. I can still see in the dark and I think it looks good. how far do you live from Seattle Beavis?

 

Friday im going to go scout the snow back Salmon La Sac and go run Fortune Creek trail if anyone wants to come, see how far I get before the snow. Also might do Mine to market trail

@northwesttaco I would still think 5% is too dark but I do hate when people can look into my truck too. It sounds like 20% would be what everyone would go with if they could do it over. Dakota said hes rocking 5% on everything and loves it haha.
@Vashontaco What did you use to match it? 20% or 30%?

I would love 5% on a daily commuter that isn't a trail rig.

 

Couple questions, can you wait till next friday the 15th? cause i'll be in town then, and would like to go. secondly, am i gonna need addtional body armor/lift? because apart from tires, i'm stock right now. if anything i could meet you there, and hop in your vehicle, i have a camera, would hate to miss some good photo ops.

Oh okay. Yeah this will be trail and daily driver. Thinking Ill have to see how 20% would look and hopefully 15% isnt too dark.

 

No I'm busy next Friday. I did fortune creek stock last summer with toyo mt's and was okay. Hit my rear bumper a lot, also hit my cross member (luckily) on a hidden rock, that was quite a shocker..

Yikes! hitting your rear bumper? or tow hitch? cause i would be hitting that. if you have tow package, have you re-located your 7-pin?

 

Yeah I hit both the hitch and bumper. And yes destroyed my 7 pin, relocated it after getting a new one

 

Yeah I put 20 on the fronts and it all matches really good. 5 would be way too dark, its already kinda restricting with 20% at night. although i was thinking 5 in the rears would make the fronts seem darker while still letting you see in parking lots at night, just a thought i had.

 

Thats true. Im going to try 15 all around and see how it goes haha.

Hope so! I have a couple weeks til Im home and able to do it so we'll see. Got a friend that gets hook ups on tint so thatll help too!

 

I want to do 5% in the rears but my fear is it'll make the fronts look to dark. But I may do it
