    I dislike seeing california plates and texas plates here.... the typical run in involves me flipping them off or completely avoiding them due to their lack of knowledge and skill on how to drive.

    I didn't have the presence of mind to check the tightness of everything before taking it in.

    The wife took it in for me and unfortunately didn't get a printout of how bad it was.

    Did you get a chance to look at the tabs for the alignment cams? Were they flattened out?

    The second gen you have the 19mm nut on the back and bolt on the front of the lower control arm. The tie-rod is 22mm.

    Alrighty then... This seems as good a place to completely change the subject as any. I have a suspension question in regards to the T4R3 but anyone can chime in.
    My drivers side sway bar end is failing & has been since Oct '14. This makes the 3rd pair in about 1.5-2 years. I found some that I like but they won't be in production again until Aug '15. Seeing as I'm going to RT'15 in 16 days, should I:
    • Get 2 trail spares for Moab & put them on prior to driving back home on June 1st?
    • Remove both ends & leave the bar mounted or take it out too?
    • What about the 4R getting squirrelly when going around corners, or emergency maneuvers?
    • Would the stiffness of the Toytec 3" Ultimate suspension lift & the ~500# of armor plating I have on it dampen the squirrellyness or make it worse?

    I'd replace it now, disconnect them at the beginning of the Kokopelli, then reconnect it when you leave Moab... that's what I'm going to do with mine... no need to have the antisway fighting articulation on the trail

    yes you'll get more tipsy... mine made a huge difference, and with more weight, RTT, it'll be much more exaggerated, I personally wouldn't want to drive back to Denver without one in your rig if it's any worse than mine.

    I am ordering some quick disconnect ends... don't know if they'll be here by the time I leave for moab though

    How important do you figure reinforcing those is?

    I don't know what the torque is for 2nd gen cams, but it should be over 100 right? My guess is Firestone didn't crank them down enough. Did you put a wrench on them after this last alignment?
