4runner has coils, not coil overs. You can do a linked coil rear suspension like the 4 runner but not sure why. If you're going to link it, do it like a bad ass

So Monte, you pretty much have the same plan I do then. Win the fucking lottery; dream in the mean time :p

4 runner is a 3 link and not enough travel.

I go big or go home :p be all custom.

All link setups use coils no leafs. Via coil over or coils with separate shocks.

    Yea basically :p haha

But really the linking and cage will happen for certain. Then power mods probably.

I use a flip phone, no data plan, no cable/sat TV, and cheapest internet package.

I bought one that uses a tial spring and diaphragm that has a 3 year warranty so I'm not worried.

Thinking I will go tial wg eventually. Just seems so expensive for what it is. Does it really affect performance that much? Or is it more of a reliability factor?

Reliability factor. WG regulates your boost. If it ends up failing then your motor will pop because of it not opening up when it should. Guys over at ls1tech, theturboforums run a lot of china products, turbos included. They say it's fine to cheap out on BOV but the WG is something you don't want to cheap out on.

Pretty much. Also much better machining for no leaks. A leaky waste gate will increase turbo lag.

I'll definately keep that in mind. I'm guessing it's not too big of a pain to swap out wastegates. Even with the stove sealer. Maybe just tap it off with a hammer after you pull the downpipe off? I'm pretty strapped ($$$) for this turbo build. Really would like to get it right the first time though. If you really recommend a tial I will go for it.

Precision turbo makes a nice one as well. Cheaper than the tial and comes with variety of springs. That's what I'm running.

You can also find them used on eBay. I got a decent deal on a used Tial that way. Inspect the diaphragm if you go this route.
