Looks like a VFN Sunoco hood......which I want so bad or my 4th gen Camaro. BTW I think it looks awesome!

really, your saying his supercharger is pulling from there. About the only thing its doing is keeping under hood temps maybe 3-5* cooler at cruising speeds.

Ummm.... Hell no. Looks horrible IMO and ruined the look of the truck. But hey... It's not my truck. I'm sure some things I've done to mine might not appeal to everyone either. At least you tried.

Looks good to me. How is the visibility situation from the cab?

I will keep you in mind .

It's not functional ??? Keeping under hood temps down a bit by whatever means necessary always helps . As far as reducing the visibility out of my windshield , I couldn't care less about a little vision loss . If you prefer having total vision due to your inability to judge distance or other factors , "hey , to each their own "

A person with such strong opinions must have the best looking truck on the forum . Please post pics of your perfect specimen so I know what I need to change on my truck .

I would rather have a fuel-injected 502 like in my other truck but this is just my cruiser .

I will admit that it ended up a bit taller than I expected but I am still very happy with the results .

    I know....that's what I was worried about when I got it .

It's a custom piece done by a friend's bodyshop . I bought the hood and scoop and he did the work .

not according to nd4spdbh , he seems to know all the flow patterns of air traveling through my engine bay and hood .

    Very similar .

now wait.....you said that it's not functional and now you say that it does provide some function ??????

hmmmm....maybe your heading in the right direction with this post .

I didn't try anything....I accomplished exactly what I was looking to do .

It has very little obstruction for my viewing pleasure . I'm 5'5" and can see plenty over it so it works great .

I actually like it...a lot. +1 for being unique enough to pull the trigger and just do it.

Just like you said , there are things done to your truck that I wouldn't do , but I still think your truck looks nice .

To me , thinking of something that will make me love my vehicle more and just going for it is the way I have always done things . I don't sit back and wait for others opinions or enjoy looking like everyone else . Unique is the way I have always done it .

You posted a pic and opened yourself to other's opinions.

I was being nice. It looks like total dog shit. It's completely out of place on your truck and serves no more function than the OE hood scoop. You've further devalued an already overvalued truck. Your taste is questionable.

I bet you also like this:

    4x4Comaro001_e9702a72cb88bb4b574588223151f168a4013f1f.jpg

If you'd like to see a pic of my truck, you can search the forums. I've posted plenty. I'm sure there's things about my truck you don't like. I don't care. Your opinion, based on your hood, means nothing to me.

I know a guy in Santa Fe that's in a wheel chair and drives a heavily modified C63 AMG......just thought I would mention that .

My dad lowered his 10 lug conversion f350.....does that count ?

good point....so damn hot that I made a hood to dissipate the heat under the hood .

    :eek::eek::eek:
