Just counting down to mine. Just a matter of time. How many months and miles did you have when it happened? How painful was it?

24 hours and 32 miles after buying mine, I backed up to a loading dock and punched in the tailgate on the bump stops. Extended warranty covered it though.

Maybe I don't understand the extended warranty, but how would the warranty cover your accident?

960 Miles on mine when my Duratracs threw a stone up into the passenger side door. Oh well at least it's baptized now. Sliders on the way and ordering some Rokblokz next week should help I hope.

I got a door ding in the Target parking lot the first weekend I owned my '13. Then a few months later I jackknifed my snowmobile trailer into the rear quarter panel and did $3000 in damage.

1 1/2 months and none yet. My better half saved the day this week though. About a 25 mph wind blowing and 2 shopping carts at Lowe's were rolling across the parking lot straight at my passenger side front fender. The Good Wife saved the day by intercepting them before impact. My kind of woman.

5 months in. Had a lawn mower put a decent scratch from its handle across the lower bumper / valance from one side of the truck to the other. Wasnt bad, put some touch up paint on the painted section, buffed out the center.... was pissed though.

a month ago, i had a kid on a bike run into the back quater panel. Handle bar took it all the way down to the bare metal. Tried to sand it out and paint it over but metallic paints are hard to get right. Painted over it to prevent rust, then put a 6ish inch bandaid decal over it haha.

I bought my truck in December.

Within the first month, some jackwhip at work backed out of a parking slot and swiped the passenger rear. Scratches on fender, bumper, and tail light.

Two weeks ago, while off-roading up at Rowher Flats, I pinstriped the truck on both sides from bushes.

A few days after that, some kid smashed my tail light.

Last weekend, while off-roading on Cleghorn, I pinstriped the truck even worse, scratched the driver-side rear fender on a dirt wall, smashed the tow harness on a rock, and dented the rear bumper on rocks as well.

The truck is looking good! :headbang:

During the 24 hour test drive I got a rock ding on the hood on the highway, less than 60km on the truck when it happened... Then the first weekend I actually owned it I bottomed out the hitch crossing a ditch and bent the bracket that holds the wiring harness.

It's bumper to bumper, all preventative maintenance for 70k miles. Covers dents that don't require paint, rips in upholstery, etc. Pretty comprehensive.

I had the first chip in the first 100 miles after driving home from the dealer in Vermont in January. They don't spread sand on roads here its salt, Calcium Chloride and Gravel with stones the size of large marbles. Snow tires grab those things and fling them like bullets. Its painful to see for sure. Touch it up and go on. I ended up putting 3-M chip guard strips in vulnerable areas such as wheel well areas etc.

First real scratch was a t-post along the rear door and rear fender.

Then I took my front mud flaps off and the fun began...
