Went to grab an oil filter from the dealer today and saw this scrap. All spacers and blocks. Thing must ride like shit huh? Surpised the dealer is modding new trucks so much. Sorry didn't catch the price...image.jpg

    Too few to list.
I've seen dealers doing spacer lifts over here. Just saw a Tundra with spacer lift and blocks with wheels and MT tires and dealer is asking almost $6K add on.

Haven't seen that at a Yota dealer, they're kinda few & far between around me, but a few of the Chevy & Ford dealers do that. Put a low dollar spacer lift & fancy tires and add a big $urcharge for dealer installed "lift"......crooks!

Every lifted new truck on dealer lots is spacers. They're selling the look, not the parts, and nobody driving away in their new lifted truck give a shit about that.

Every lifted diesel in my area is on 6" spacers and 6" blocks, they might have $5k on engine and exhaust mods and tires and they don't care about the lift.

I've seen the same here. Salesman caught me looking at an ARB on a 2015. I asked him about the lift and all he wanted to tell me was "it's a Toytec lift." I asked which one and he played dumb. I started looking under the truck and he told me it was a spacer lift - as I was looking at it. He tried telling me it was "a good one, made for offroading" and I laughed at him. I told the guy I just wanted to see the ARB on a 12+, 'cause I have a '12. He tried to tell me that he could get me a really good trade in for me as I was getting into my friend's 15 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but I had seen what I wanted and had no use for the guy.

    You got it.

Sell the sizzle, not the bacon.

And what folks on forums like this forget is that the majority of buyers aren't at the same level of genius as the forum members here are.

It's why Toyota doesn't build the Tacoma like most here think they should either. Because they don't have to; sales are way more than adequate.

Not all dealerships sell absolute crap. There was one in Phoenix near me that had a 14 with a 6" Procomp lift with 35" Toyos. I will agree though about the over price they said the lift and stuff was an extra 9k.

I almosy stupidly bought this truck 4 years ago before I was a tacomaworld ninja. Base model and spacers with all the assecories seen here. Dealer wanted $37,000. Thank god my bank wouldn't finance it or I would of bought it.

Most dealer installed lifts for Tacoma are $150 Revtek spacer lifts.
