Not exactly sure. They're scratching their head just like me. They're claiming there was a bit of play in the idler bearing and that it could possibly be what cause the belt to jump the pulleys. Hence the reason they replaced it.

IMG_2862.jpg Gave her a day at the Spa.......Wash, Clay Bar, Wax....first time as she is now about 4 months old so the paint should be set up well. Was amazed at how little the clay bar picked up (will have to try it on one of my older vehicles). Now she is all dressed up for our clubs event tomorrow!

Looks good. I'm about to do the same to mine. Hopefully some of my scratches will buff out.

Did you bother to tell the dealer that you did maintenance on your truck involving the serpentine belt, and it shreds to shit the same day? Or did you keep that part of your story a secret from them? Glad you got it covered under warranty, but please don't be that guy...

Thanks! Toytec Eibach 620 springs, 5100's, and add a leaf. 265/75's - didn't really ride any different with lift than stock. About 2.5-3" before all the weight of topper, bed items, front bumper and winch.

I'm on the fence. Technically you would think a bigger map would be better for the off road. That way I can make the slow shifts in 4-Lo
I was wondering the same thing...

Sorry for your loss, I know how it feels as I sold my 1st Gen with nearly 10k mods into it..... that was one sweet looking rig, when you finally get the Tundra, it'll help ease the pain

Don't worry. I was on the level. The new alternator was in the vehicle when I took it into them. They determined it was the idler bearing as the root of the problem. I told them if warranty didnt cover it that I'd fix it myself.
