Making progress with my new hobby

 

I'm still learning, man. I looked at that trail at Ray Hubbard and George Bush tonight on my way home from doing my sliders. The entire trail is under water! The lake is up so much now.

 

That's where I launch my kayaks too. From the highway, it doesn't look like you can even drive the whole way around anymore

 

That's a good looking bead. I like the pointed top on the slider plate. I've welding on sets with square plates, and getting a bead across the top isn't fun at all.

My sister works at Durango Motors. She's the accessories manager. Decks out new Tacos all the time. Too bad I'm too in love with my first gen. I'm stuck in Dallas watching her post pics of herself in Moab on Facebook. We used to live in Farmington, just south of you, and I sure miss the wheeling...

I posted this message in the Ft Worth BS thread but will do so here as well just to get all the help i can.

I'm planning my best friends bachelor party and he's in the Fort Worth area and the rest of us are staying in Dallas at a hotel basically at the I 635 and the Dallas North Toll Way.

My questions: where are some good lakes or even wilderness areas around there within an hour radius to go camping at and have a good time? Camping is so the younger brothers etc can still hang out with us one night.

Next, where are some great bars to go to the next night? We wanna go to Top Golf until 6pm then anywhere after that, either in the Ft Worth area or in Dallas near our hotel.

Uptown Dallas for bars. I like concrete cowboy but get there early if you wanna get in and not wait forever unless you guys are doing VIP lol.

 

After looking online some more, I think that area is where we will be headed since it'll be a cheap cab ride since it's close the the hotel! Are all the bars walking distance?

 

Most of the bars in uptown are close together, but it's farther south towards downtown. Just be aware that it is not cheap either. Uptown is just north of downtown, probably 5 miles or so from where you are at. Lower Greenville Ave isn't bad either, but Addison is really close to where your hotel is, and there are a ton of bars, basically off of the tollway and beltline, a stone's throw of your hotel. There are a ton of bars close together as well, and quite a bit of tail around those parts. I'd highly recomend Addison. All of the good bars will be West of the Tollway at beltline.

 

Awesome! Any particular bars to be sure to hit up in Addison?

 

My friends at work always talk about going to Nate's... I've never been though. (little too young) think it is in Addison

 

I generally stick to McFadden's or Sherlocks.
