Yeah, last night was an impressive storm. There's another one coming today, but I don't think it will be so bad.

Alright guys I could really use your help. I'm planning my best friends bachelor party right now, but I've never been to Texas. He lives in the Fort Worth area and the rest of us are staying in Dallas at a hotel basically at the 635 and the Dallas North Toll Way.

My questions: where are some good lakes or even wilderness areas around there within an hour radius to go camping at and have a good time? Camping is so the younger brothers etc can still hang out with us one night.

Next, where are some great bars to go to the next night? We wanna go to Top Golf until 6pm then anywhere after that, either in the Ft Worth area or in Dallas.

    Thanks everyone for the help!

So you just want to go camping or did yall want to fish at a lake? Texoma is cool and about an hour up 75 from your hotel. Also have Ray Roberts and about 10 other state parks to the east of you.

Last time I was there we were out there from 8-1 and that was plenty, but no time was spent dealing with stuck trucks, just wheeling.

To be honest I really wanna fish, but I don't think any of us will buy a license and I won't fish without one. I was looking at Google maps and lake tawakoni looked like a great option too. I'll look at both of those lakes you mentioned right now!

In that case I'll either head to houston after work or take a nap and hit up downtown Fort Worth that night.

How's the camping situation at Tawakoni? A quick google would suffice I suppose, but I'd rather get the knowledge from folks who've been there.
