I miss killer leg days :pout: this ankle shit is taking forrrrrrrrrrrrrreverrrr to heal

We are basically the same person lol.

Never heard of any carpet shit lol; that must be a North GA thing

    Best advice I've ever heard

Not all doctors are geniuses...Like Aaron said, if you feel good at your weight, don't stress. And why would the doctor say muscle doesn't add weight lol? :notsure: Muscle is 18% more dense than fat, so adding muscle and losing fat simultaneously will make you heavier. I went to the doctor for a routine checkup at like 11% bf and around 175 a few years ago and he said, at 5'11", I should weigh like 150 lbs and that I was overweight lol. Basic guidelines for BMR and being overweight don't really translate over to weightlifters. Also, with as much as you bust your ass watching your cholesterol and doing cardio and all that, I bet you're in great shape. If I were you, I'd still try to lose the fat, but I wouldn't stress about it...also, I'd stop smoking lol

    Y'all already know...

    Doug's 4-Day Split <---best beginner/intermediate workout there is, partner

    Also, where's @precoma been?????????????

I vote getting out of the house and doing anything that challenges you physically. Since you are just starting out I would say goto the gym 3 times a week and do some good walks in the off days. If you want to shed weight fast then start guzzling water all day, every day. Once you body gets used to lifting you can up the days/amount of lifting. You are gonna feel like shit (in a good way) for awhile.

I don't ever scroll through FB or IG anymore, so I'm pretty disconnected, aside from talking to folks on here or in person lol. I just went and looked at his IG...our Corey is growing up. Welcome to the engaged life, brotha!

I go up that way about once a year, but it's not for carpet lol. I might start going more frequently now that trout season has no end

Wow....we sound like twins. I'm 6' and 258lbs. I can bench/squat a small car but due to the love of beer I'm a 36" waist.

Holy crap those are expensive! Cancel your order and invest in a bench, power rack , oly bar, and bumper plates. Then add in dumbbells later.

on your clean setup, is your bar placement farther forward compared to your DL setup?
