Exactly, i'm not spending all that money when I can keep it in low gear.

Im sure it would shift better but I don't have the money for that, I drive stick too so I can control what gear i'm in. Keeping it in low gear does just fine.

Pretty sure he was referring to 37s as he mentioned 37s in the sentence before that

This. Not to mention this is the 37s thread, not the 35.

And I have a manual. You can't make up for your lack of regeared diffs by just using low gear and more gas, despite what you may tell yourself. It'll suck on 35s, it ain't gonna work on 37s.

And at some point you're gonna need 4lo and 1st gear. And that shit just isn't gonna be low enough.

I drove mine to work for a week with 3.73's and 37's. I made it to work but it sucked! I bet the 0-60 times were close to a '69 beetle.

    Hahah
I've been :turtleride: for about a year lol.

Still torn on 4.56 vs 4.88 for an Auto. I'm only concerned about hwy rpms w/ 4.88 since I'm a MC.
Pulling the trigger next week !

I'm running 2700rpm at 75mph with 4.88's and 33's in my Auto. I'm really happy with it. I've had them for a couple years now. If you are going 35's or bigger with an auto I would say 4.88's for sure. When I go to 35's or bigger I wish I could go to 5.29's...

He quoted someone speaking of 35's, not 37's.

    Well I guess I'll do 4.88 since I'm going with a heavier 37.

    73lb MTR vs 91lb Nittos

THIS IS THE FUCKING 37 THREAD.

THE TITLE SAYS "Thoughts on 37s" NOT "Experiences with 35s".

He was talking about 37s by trying to relate them to experiences with 35s.

I shouldn't have to explain this shit

I definitely would. Those Nittos look mean, btw.

I might pick up a cheap bathroom scale and weigh my spare today. I have no idea what it's actual weight is on the rim

yes I'm aware this is a 37s thread,
Currently I'm running the heavy red letter tires (35s) and switching to 4:10s was much better than 3.73s. This is my dd and with this ratio driving highway, city, and wheeling most of the time is ok. I did find once i aired down and we started crawling and running technical stuff it was super hard on me and the truck. I am planning on going 37s and will most likely aim for the same total gear ratio but I'm 100% getting a crawl box for wheeling. Imo 4:10s with 6SP and 35s is a solid ratio for some one that has one as a DD and getting the crawl box....
