i took my front and back mud flaps off, I personally think it looks alot better without them, the only down side is i have chrome tips on my exhaust so they dont stay clean and shiny.

I did my lift and with 33" tires i didnt want to be an @ss and kick up debris on the highway so i painted the rear flaps all black and just put those on. They look great and luckily i didnt cut them because with the bigger tires and lift they actually look smaller and proportionate - not like semi-flaps

Only if the tire extends past the fender and the center of the axle is past the bottom of the rear of the fender. The mudflap acts as a fender extension. It's enforced about as much as the cell phone law.

I have only heard of one instance of it being enforced and it was my boss who has this huge F-350. He just got a warning. He basically told them to piss off.

I definetly think that it looks better with them off, but they do a really good job of keeping the side of your truck clean.

I took mine off, after breaking one.

I REFUSE to pay Toyota over $100 for a single stinking mudflap.

Is what hose, soap and water is for.

They don't really do all that much in anything other than a slight rain.

I live down about 1 1/2 miles of dirt road, without those mud flaps I would be getting tons of chips. I don't like that I rub the flaps on speed bumps or when I'm off roading, guess I'll just have to be careful!

Nothing major or fancy. Just stuff to make it work better for me. Running boards, seat covers, BakFlip
I took the front ones off after I hooked one on a stump backing up.

Today I had to chain up to get home from the woods...the back ones are coming off next! PIA.

I am really surprised that the oval bars are that much longer, even with a double cab. I have an access cab with the round bars and they didnt come close to hitting the flaps. However, I did remove mine as I had some rub issues when I went with the larger tire and yes, they had already "etched" the fender. Hopefully I will be able to buff that out.

This seems to be a big decision for us they were on or off, (me too) but I dont think anyone else would even notice either way.
