none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
Some of them are in fact made in Mexico. They might all be made in Mexico soon because the US plant that made them is shutting down.

So is it a particular region like Gulf States (Texas, Miss, Ar, Louis) that is made in Mexico? Is there any way of finding out before purchase?

I think we discovered in a poll not long ago that all the newer Double Cabs were made in mexico...

Thats a good thing. The plant in Mexico (Baja, California) has won a bunch of awards for quality and things are assembled by hand to a great extent where the NUMMI plant had many quality issues and far fewer hands involved in the assembly there.

It is clearly coded on the VIN number. Do a search of the TW forum and you will find the code for CA manufactured Tacos vs. Mexican.

Personally, I would rather keep my good 'ole US dollars in the US of A. The Californian-manufactured Tacos are top notch. I try to read the label before I purchase anything big-dollar. Just to see if I am sending my money out of the country.

Most Japanese production goes to Asian countries. I was in China in 2006, the big thing there are Land Crusiers (called Prado there) and some Tacomas. It is great prestige in Asian countries for an individual to have a Toyota.

If the VIN number starts with a 3, it is made in Mexico. If it starts with a 5, it is made at NUMMI in Fremont, Ca. For now.

It's not as if your money went straight from your hands to the workers in the US who built your truck. Had you chosen to buy a different brand that only had plants in the US you would be "keeping your dollars in the US of A". Buying a US built truck from a foreign company with plants in many countries making the same product didn't send your dollars anywhere different than if you'd bought the same truck from one of their oversees plants.
