How do I turn up my volume up???

Question for you audio enthusiasts. I have a pioneer DEH - 2100IB head unit running four infinity 6 1/2 component speakers. I also have an alpine subwoofer 10" type R in a custom made enclosure. Powering the sub is a sony slim line class D amp with rca cables coming from the head unit to the amp. My problem is that the speakers get plenty loud before the sub woofer gets loud. I've tested the sub with pure bass frequency and it gets real loud so I know the sub works. Any ideas how to get this sub to match the speaker volume? There appears to be no subwoofer adjustment on the deck and the gain is turned up to about 2/3 maybe 3/4. Help.... Thank You

 

if i understand you correctly, you just want your sub to be louder, right?
well if im not mistaken, your HU only has 1 pre-out (dunno if it's front or back) but which ever the case try fading to the rear and turning the volume up.

 

True... But than my sound stage is goofy because the rear speakers will also be turned up louder than my front speakers and I don't want that.

 

do you have a built in EQ that has that particular range set very low or is overriding the gain you have you amp set at...for example, on my alpine, I have an eq setting that if I turn off, gives me more bass than when the signal is processed through the eq.

also, does your HU have a built in crossover and what's it set at...is it turned on/off?

 

unfortunately thats the only way i know. hell short of taking out your rear speakers, but your best bet is to eventually get a HU with 3 pre-outs. hopefully another member can expand on this. if you take out the rear speakers and boost the sub it sounds pretty good, i have my mustang set up that way.

 

tone or a button by balance should let you change the level of bass and treble output
