Im just not real fond of the grill area on it, it looks like its trying to make a duckface or something, they pushed the grill area out wwaayy to far. Ill keep my '14 for a while, until i can see one in person that might make me change my mind.

That's because it's the same one from the Tundra including the camera.

I was thinking the same thing, but for me at least I think it's simply because it's not that bright ass chrome on a sand colored truck. I like the overall shape of the grill, but still don't care for the ridged cheese grater look.

Pretty good pictures, it amazes me how much looks the same as the 2nd gens. I see a lot of carryover parts in this truck, which isn't a bad thing but also means were not looking at a new platform either. 3rd gen looks good to me and I'm anxious to drive one.

Thanks for the pics. Best pics so far. Looks more like the true production model.
    - There's the plastic mudflaps
    - The grill, no, just no. IMO should let the hood slope more naturally downward. You can see in the pics it's artificially built up to enable a taller grille, make it look more "truck-like".
    - Looks like it might be easier to get 285's in the front wheelwells. If those are 265/70/16's on it there appears to be a little more room toward the mudflaps. Just one more inch of wheelwell would be great.
    - The stepbumper seems to have a real step to it now, the Gen2 I could only get my toes on it. I like that a lot, as well as the stamped "Tacoma", and locking tailgate.
    - Looks like all models will have a decreased approach angle , but the way they sloped the outside of the bumper upwards looks like it can enhance rock crawling.

Should start seeing more promotional stuff soon from Toyota. No specs just yet, but more colors/configurations etc.

I think body specs will be just about the same except for overall length. I bet the overall length will be about 4" longer for all three configurations because of the underbite and a 1" longer rear porch. Ground clearance looks like it will be the same, too bad. 1" more to get it over 10 inches, that would be dynamite and would bury the new Canyon/Colorado in the dust for the foreseeable future. But, even with 9.4 inches the Tacoma will still be a better offroad truck than the Canyon/Colorado.

You'd think the dealer's first question after accepting to host this even would be "when can we start taking orders".. let's hope we find out soon.

That's not what those are for...the internal frame of the engine bay is same as 2nd gen but the fenders raised so they had to put that there to cover the gap

On the lower center dash section just to the left of the "ECT" button, what is that button for? I've been trying to figure out what that function is since the 1st pics came out back in January.

Well, damn then. The OR has Blind Spot Monitoring, JBL, dual zone climate control, moonroof, turn signals on mirrors, & cell phone wireless charging. Other than leather, I'm wondering what the Limited has that the Off Road doesn't?

If the Off Road is going to be available with HomeLink & a choice of rear axle ratio, I'll be switching my allegiance to the Off-Road when I'd had been thinking Limited all the way up to this point.

I agree if you can get all these cool options on the TRD Off-Road maybe they are on the TRD Sport too. And the limited looks like it has more chrome on the exterior which I'm not a fan of.
