First you have to undo the driver's side dash. There are 2 clips above the gages that you have to remove to unsnap the cluster rings. The bottom half has two bolts, one behind the kick panel at the top and another on the other side there is a little tab that pops open that covers the other bolt. You just have to get the upper dash panel out of the way for the center dash to come out. Then you have to pop the A/C control panel off. Then there are 4 bolts that hold the radio in. Remove those and then everything just pops off. It's easiest to start at the bottom when you start to pull it off. There was a write up on here somewhere that I used as a reference. Can't remember where though. I think the thread was called something like personalize your interior cheap.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
It is a single surround. You pull the HVAC control panel then remove the four bolts behind it. You must also loosen some of the speedo dash trim as well, but that piece comes out after the radio is removed. I had to go that far when i disabled the TPMS light on the dash.

How do you get the 2 steering wheel pieces out? I did mine a while back but left those alone...

There are two little square access panels on the back side of the steering wheel behind the steering wheel controls. Pop those off and you will see two T30 torx bolts, one on each side. Remove them and the airbag assembly will come off. Then you will see four bolts that hold those pieces on. Remove them and they will pop off. A word of caution though, my airbag light is now on and not sure why. I didn't even unplug anything.

I kind of do wish I would have went with a darker red or just color matched it white. I will probably re-do it sometime. In the mean time is not too bad though.

Did you get the air bag light to go out? I taped off my steering wheel didn't care to mess with the bag.

If you didnt remove them or unplug them, do you think perhaps there was a ground that has been knocked off during reassembly on the steering wheel bag? It may not be receiving the feedback from it and detect it is bad or missing. I unplug mine all the time and never had an issue. I am in a '14.
