Well I've had a cab noise for the past two months that had been driving me nuts. The noise sounded like two metal objects hitting each other and would happen every single drive very consistently. It got to the point I was worried but could not find the source of the noise. Decided enough was enough and started to isolate the noise by getting rid of every other noise the truck made. After fixing various other little noises, while driving and with the help of a passenger we found the noise to be directly behind the driver seat. Back at the house I pulled up the carpet and found a small crack inside the cab. Slapped some jb weld on it for now and been noise free since. And no the crack was not caused by rust.

Long story short, if you have a cab noise you can't find. Make sure your cab doesn't have cracks in it. Here are two pictures. One is from the inside the other under the truck with a flashlight coming thru the cracks in the cab.

I would think the only reason for a crack like that to form is from frame flexing.

did you check if your frame is solid?

The frame looks solid enough but I'm thinking about getting the frame boxed. Making the truck fly with bilsitins and do other stupid stuff might have contributed a part. Idk though.
