Anything I should look out for? Sold my '12 that I purchased with only 10k miles on it last year and I miss being in a Tacoma. This one has some miles on it but with it being a Toyota i'm not too worried about it. Thinking I can bring them down to 25-26k. Looks like it has a Fabtech/Pro Comp lift and I don't have any experience with them.

    Appreciate any info!

For their asking price I would just finance a new one if you can get in on 0% APR. If not, I would look for a '12 because you're almost buying a 2005 Tacoma (with less miles of course) for near the price of a 2012. As for their mods I wouldn't give them a cent for them, the dealership might have actually paid less for that truck by saying it's "custom and would be hard to sell" unless you adore the mods. I personally don't like other people's mods if I am looking to buy a truck.

Aside from which year model to buy, new vs used, etc, I don't think you should give them anything more than KBB value. What IS the KBB value by the way?
Good luck and don't get thrown around!

That's way too much money for a used 2011, like said above you should just finance a new one for that price. Also it's worth mentioning if that lift is a drop bracket lift it's irreversible because they cut out the cross member so you'd better really like that lift if you buy it. Not necessarily a negative, just be sure it's what you want b/c there's no changing it.

KBB fair market value shows $25,500 in my area. I'd like to get a new one but to be honest I kind of regretted getting my '12 when I found out in my post purchase research that there still isn't much of a difference from 2005. I don't mind mods on a truck as long as they were done correctly. Less money I have to spend out of my pocket.

I was also thinking about looking at this one.. pretty good deal for clean title!

Edit: I want another DCSB Offroad but i'm looking at $32k again for a brand new one.

Thanks for the info on the drop bracket, had no idea it was irreversible.

I just bought a '15 for 3 grand more than that and I'm just over an hour south of you. I'd think about a new one. You get Toyota Care, a warranty, and probably a lower interest rate.

To each his own, but I looked at used rigs around here and decided a new one was the way to go. Used ones just cost so much.

That's a ton better deal. Cheaper, less miles, less mods, higher value.
I understand your concern about the 12 being a mild refresh. But I don't think buying a 2011 is the answer.
    Benefits of pre 12:
    Theoretically less cost
Uh... I can't think of any more.

    Benefits of 12+ or NEW
    Nearly the same cost
    Better resale value
    Less miles
    Less mods
    Lower interest rate (If ANY)
    Warranty

Say you get 0% interest on a new one and it's 3-4K more... You are paying NO interest whereas you will pay some interest on a used one bringing the cost even higher. I really recommend you reconsider.

Yes, it cuts out a portion of your frame.
    x2

OP, a Tacoma in general is not always a good buy used. They retain their value so well that it's usually a better deal to get a new one. That's what I'll be doing in a few years.

Appreciate the input guys. I found a local deal on a '15 brand new with aftermarket wheels and the typical revtek for roughly $5k more than what this dealer wants for the' 11.

The 0% apr thing won't apply to me as my credit is good but not phenomenal at this time in my life. Done flip flopping vehicles, just finished up school and won't be driving around as much, just looking for a truck I can be happy with for a long time.

    You guys are awesome!

Glad you found a 15! But unless you really want their dealer installed spacer lift why not look for one completely stock?
