    Jesus that was painful. I know sometimes when a standup comedian has a set thats bombing, a tactic is to double down on it and just try to push it until it goes full circle and is funny again. I think thats what Michael Richards (Kramer) did and it impolded his career a while back. This has that kind of vibe. Like she tried to be funny and edgy, but it was bombing so she doubled down and ended up not knowing when to quit and made it worse.

    Yeah, at the end of the day while she was great from the sounds of it for her constituents, she is still a fringe politician and this will only make it easier for others to marginalize her and the Greens.

    I've never seen a party member try to get there leader off stage in Canada. Guess someone had to do it first...

    OZ, I guess it was the transport minister (PC) trying to get her off the stage. Still, you don't see political leaders getting pulled away from the mike to often. As has been mentioned, it just gives ammunition to anyone who wants to push her further into obscurity into the next election, both locally as a representative of her constituency and federally as the leader of the Greens. No offense to the Greens intended, but when you are nationally carrying ~4% percent of the vote, you don't need this sort of publicity around your leadership or your party.

    I did learn the Greens actually have two seats in the house from this. I never heard about the NDP in Thunder Bay that jumped ship then joined the Greens. I wonder if he'll be there next leader by default...
