so would a KIA radio plug right in or not?

im looking for a plug and play stock cd radio and I don't care if its not Toyota but I don't want to be rewiring, I want a simple plug and play option.

so do all stock radios share common plugs?

Kia/hyundai use a their own plug as well as most other manufacturers so it probably aint gona be plug and play. Should be pretty easy to splice in though. Why not a $50 walmart special and $8 wiring adapter? One thing i wouldnt want in my truck is something with "kia" stamped on it ahaha

well I did plan to use carb cleaner to strip the kia off it lol. I was leaning towards a nice one from Honda but that one would be hard to remove the name because of its placement.

the kia cd radio just looked very much like the Tacoma single din cd radio so I was thinking no one would be able to tell. http://www.ebay.com/itm/00-01-02-Ki...ent-/361288853353?hash=item541e7e6769&vxp=mtr

im just old fashioned and don't want all those disco lights and 75 buttons on a radio, hell 5 buttons and 2 knobs is more then enough.

I have a kenwood stereo cd and I will just have to use it then.

I hoped to but a stock oem radio and sell the kenwood to pay for it, or do swap, but those crooks selling them on ebay want $75-$100 for a cheap crappy oem radio and I wouldn't pay more the $40 tops itf it looked brand new.

I just ordered the aftermarket din tray because just like the radio those crooks wanted $35-$45 !!!! for the Toyota oem din tray, now I admit its made of better plastic but its still just a junk tray for stuff that should be selling for no more then $20 with the price of aftermarket ones at $10 IMHO

because they are the only ones being sold at realistic values around $20-$30 shipped and I need a single din cd radio to be able to put the storage tray in under it

    yep, thanks anyway.

I actually found a nicer cassette version just like that one with the tray for $40 shipped and I really had to sit on my hands not to impulse buy it but on rare occasions I use the cd so ....
