    Not an option this time. Bad axle seal and I'm waiting on parts. Granted, I could put it all back together and stiff drive it, but then I'd have to take everything back apart again when the new seal gets here.

    I'm gonna pop the bead off and see if I can clean the crap out of it in a bit.

    Edit: Popped the bead, cleaned the dirt out of it, no more leaks. :thumbsup: Unfortunately, the OGT is still pissed at me. Hopefully she'll calm down once her new axle seal gets here tomorrow and I get her back into fighting trim.

    So...I got the axle seal changed out and the new CV axle in. Put the truck down on on her wheels, filled up the diff with gear lube and decided I didn't feel like putting the skid and everything back on today. However, I did decide that I'd go ahead and try cleaning the MAF to see if that did anything to the high idle. So I pulled the air duct and I was like WTF!?! o_O when I saw this in the throttle body...

    So I'm wondering WTF is going on. I know I have an air cleaner so how is HUGE crap like that getting by it. So I started looking and found this...

    :eek:o_O No wonder the OGT is so :angrygirl:. Now I may end up having to pull the intake to make sure it's not packed full of crap and then hope the top end of the motor isn't fragged. :facepalm::annoyed::bananadead:

    Thanks Mike. At the very least it let's me know how much cash I might end up having to drop.

    As far as everything being okay, I dunno. She's been breathing FOD since at least Croom. Who knows how long before that. There's no telling how much crap made it to the top of the cylinders to tear up the piston rings and whatnot. If I was going to do it right, I'd have to pull the intake and clean everything out at the very least, but I may end up being lazy and just pulling the throttle body to clean out the idle air bypass valve.

    edit: Oh, and I guess I could always get a CAI if I had to, but IMHO, that's just asking for water ingestion.

    Sorry for the uneducated question but if I wanna run 18x10 rims and a 33 in" tire would It be 285/65/18s or like 305/65/18s? I'm confused on what size would be a true 33.

    Which size do you recommend? I'm going to be running 4" in the front from the spindles and 1.5" in the back. I'm still debating whether the get wheel spacers or not. I don't think I will need them with -24 mm offset rims.

    I think with the 285's you'll have less rubbing to deal with. No matter what your offset is the spindles still push the front out .75" on each side. So the front will still be wider than the rear. I'm pretty sure you'll be a little low in the rear with only 1.5" in the rear. Hugopreston did 2" & was pretty level. Unless you want to be a little low in the rear.

    Check out the Toyo Open Country ATII's. I liked mine, just wanted 35's & the aggressive look of an MT. The only thing I would've changed is I would've got the xtreme version. Deeper tread & slightly more aggressive.

Gonna get my new air box tomorrow, but I still need to pull the throttle body and clean it out so the Taco probably isn't going anywhere any time soon. :( On the other hand, I didn't think I'd get one so soon, so if I can get it done, I might still be able to show up at the clean up, but I'm not betting on it. It's effin' hot out there and I'm a total wuss when it comes to working in the heat. :eek:

    Ok cool, would Thursday around 5 or 6 be good? I can go to your house. Do it! Stop looking for an excuse and get on it. I managed to finish repairing the videos last night. Had a binge session of copying and repairing. Gonna upload them tomorrow so you can pick out what you want from them.
