What Susp. Lift to buy?

I'm trying to surprise my brother (REPINS) with a suspension lift as a gift in the next few days. He has helped me more than I ever deserved in the past and he's had bad luck in the last few days and stopped the build on his vehicle because of it.
Anyhow he has a 2012 DCLB with ARB/winch bumper and full size ARE campershell on it. He drives this truck a lot on the road, about 20,000 miles a year and about 2000 miles a year on dirt type roads for camping, off roading and hunting. The truck also has rear Firestone airbags due to him pulling his toyhauler all summer. I know he runs 10 ply tires size 265/70 R17 I think.
My budget is about $2000 to $2500 for the lift and I know he wants it to be about a 3inch lift but after reading all the threads on here im more confused than ever as his truck is really nose heavy and he pulls a toyhauler trailer. Im sure a thread may have covered this already by all the go to guys and gals on here but I missed it if it was. Any help would be great with both model type and who to get it from. He's the one that is mechanically inclined so im really out of my comfort range on this subject. Again any suggestions would be fantastic.

 

Sounds like a perfect choice with a Old Man Emu 3" with Dakars and 886 springs for the front.

 

Thanks for the reply. The OME kit shows its a 50mm which is only a 2 inch lift, but with the 886 springs you stated does it make it a 3 inch lift.
So I'm guessing the OME HD has the 886 springs? Also where is best distributor to buy from? Thx

I agree with medic. You can get the kid from autoanything for about $100 cheaper than anywhere else with FREE shipping. This is big savings especially since it comes with the DAKARS which usually add roughly $60 in shipping from anyone else. I didn't buy mine from them since they only offer the heavy duty springs for the added weight, but otherwise I would have.

In your opinion is the 887 to stiff of a spring. I see Headstrong has it as an option.

 

Same spring rate as the 885s just 15mm taller. It will get you to 3" without a half inch top plate spacer. My brother just installed it on his '15.

 

The Girl at headstrong said the 886 would not give me the full 3inch but would last longer with all the weight my brother has on the front of his truck so I went with the 886. Thanks to the guys that gave me the great info and options. I purchased the OME kit from headstrong and I hope he likes it. THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL THE INPUT.
