Going good, been busy, how about you?

Night shift rocks! Only thing is it sucks driving home in the morning with the sun in my face

I get nanny internet at the hospital as well. If they block a site I want I'll tether off my phone

 

20 mins to go and I can go Nap in my office till next shift comes in.

 

Yesterday was busy but there's some bank holiday in the Netherlands and parts of Europe so it's slower tonight which is nice.
Just saw my pay stub for payday tomorrow. Fiscal year for the company ended and we all got a very healthy bonus (about a months pay) which was very unexpected. Taxes bent me over bad though, but oh well still way more money then a normal check. I should put it all towards CC debt, but I'll probably keep 25% for motorcycle goodies and put the rest to debt. .

Beyond that I'm trying to get my apartment packed up and motorcycles back together, my lease is up on Friday and I move into the forest for the summer; commuting down to work. My rent was $1315/month, and they wanted to raise that up somewhere north of 1400/mo; $1315 was kind of doable, but cramped my disposable income a lot. Three years ago this apartment would've been $900/month, too many people moving to the Denver area.

 

$1400 a month! That's way more than my mortgage with taxes and insurance! I'd go live in the hills too!

 

Rent has gone up about 40% in the last two years. A nice studio in a nice area of town with an attached garage was $715/mo back in 2009 (my first apartment). Now the same unit is going for $1215/month.

The massive increase is because of the economy here is good (causing people to move here). I also suspect people came out here for weed tourism and decided to stay or came out here when the cost of living where they were at became too high.

Amusingly I've increased my salary by about 50% since 2009 due to job hopping, but it really doesn't feel like I'm making that much more with the rent increase coupled with higher food and fuel costs.

Hi everybody! Going good here. I was on vacation last week for my buddy's retirement from active duty. He was my "right hand man" my last 6 yrs on active duty.

Work 4 shifts this week, then back on leave through Memorial Day. Going back to Iowa for nephew's wedding.

 

feels like I have been gone forever! Hope all night shift crew is doing good, hope to talk to y'all soon

Start of another week Five nights then a holiday weekend. Oh... Yeah, I get to work the holiday.

 

2 more nights then off for 10 days of camping.

 

driving down to Cali for memorial day weekend! lets remember all that has fallen to protect our great nation

 

Mornin' all. I slept all night Saturday night until 9:30 and then slept and laid in bed until 19:30 when I scrambled out of bed to go see the Avengers before work at midnight.
