I think xbox will die. Halo is too played out anymore and its the game that brought it to life.

    Yeah.
I like my PS4, although I have not been able to figure out how to use it to stream music from my PC like I could with my PS3. Seems they want you to use some music service for now. Honestly, that seems like a pretty simple feature to have available at launch.

Agree on the quantity and quality of games. There are some, but not the number of solid franchises that were available on the previous generation. As I recall, it got off to a slow start as well, but the PS3 was a completely different hardware architecture that is challenging to develop for. Lots of potential that was probably less than 60% realized for various reasons. The new architectures are similar to each other as well as the PC, so it should be much easier for cross-platform development. I think the big publishers have gotten a little lazy.

Whats sad is its a mac game from the start, microsoft bought rights at the last minute. They could make a killing if they released it on the PC as the war era garbage of call of duty and battlefield are played out.

Halo master fail collection is still pretty broken for multiplayer so thats how fans feel about Halo now..Not good for Microsoft.

A huge complaint I have about the current gen consoles is the day 1 patch and absolutely no games being ready at launch. If you have no internet or limited bandwidth.. too bad so sad..

What happened to QA depts doing their job and game testers.. and Demos?? FUCK early access..... I shouldnt have to pay to play a demo in progress that may not ever release..

They did make it for the PC. I bought Halo 1 & 2 and played them online.

I've got plenty to keep me occupied now at the moment. HoW's is out next week, Project Cars is a great racing sim (RobU and I have been having a blast in it), ESO comes out in June, and The Witcher (but I don't have enough time to invest in it).

I bought both at launch. I sold the Xbox. The only games that I was looking forward too was Titanfail (which sucked balls) and Forza. Forza is a solid racing game and I loved playing it. It just wasn't worth me keeping the Xbox since most every big title was going to come to both systems. PS4 has a "slight" hardware advantage but not really enough to notice unless you had both sitting side by side.

Do you have traction control and ABS off ?

I switched those off and now I can't keep the car on the road to save my life

    Yeah.
I started off Amateur last night and have only been messing with wheel settings so far (after calibration, which helped a TON -- DriveClub didn't have a calibration). I like the physics in this game better, I find it more natural-feeling. And the sound is awesome.

I think controller settings are going to be key. Right now the car wants to wander on long straights, and I have a difficult time getting it to stay in a smooth line. And I always seem to have ONE bobble that invalidates my lap time. Pissed me off at Le Mans, that is a long lap. Need more time to tweak game settings before messing with car settings.

Oh man.... try getting a solid lap time at the Ring with a F1. Almost 14 miles and 74 turns. Can not tell you how many times I restarted yesterday :(

You're right though... The cars handle like they should.

    Yeah.
I can't imagine trying to ease into the throttle with a controller. It is hard enough with a pedal.

Right now I like the driving line and how they implemented it. I like how it changes color based on your current speed rather than staying a static color. If I ever get a good feel for a car, I will probably find it too distracting.

Sorry about my snoring last night. I hung out in case somebody dropped, but apparently I got sleepy.

I've got mine set to zero deadzone so it engages as soon as you pull on the trigger (or when you push the pedal). I find it easy to modulate the gas that way. The drive line is distracting to me but necessary on some tracks that I don't know. I absolutely love how the cars handle and feel. Each car that you jump in has it's own unique handling characteristic and you have to "learn" to be able to drive it well.

I don't. But I have it set to where it engages late. I'll have to look at my settings. I prefer to have the feel of the car than the car do the work for you. That said... Vehicles that come equipped with traction / vsc I leave on since that is how it is set in real life. But a Caterham 7 (as far as I know) don't have any nannies so I leave everything turned off when driving that car (or similar cars) for the real driving experience.

Now get on fucking line so we can race. I race clean. It's much more fun racing with others.

I no understand , in your driver aid setting is traction control set to ON or OFF ?

Settings > control > driver aids > traction control > ON / OFF

    or something along those lines

In your settings for each individual vehicle you can set up the vehicle (in your garage setting). There are sliders that you can use to control almost every aspect of the car and the traction control is one of them. On vehicles that I know are not equipped with TC / VSC I turn the slider all the way to 0. On vehicles that I know have different settings for TC / VSC I set it to engage at around 50% which I would consider the "sport" setting of the vehicle. It allows a certain amount of wheelspin before the TC / VSC steps in. Along with that you can set it up for just certain tracks or all tracks and save it to that specific car. Every time you jump into that car it is set up unless you go back to your garage (options button) and tinker with it and save again. You can also set each individual car to a specific track set up instead of all. I have mine set to all right now since I'm not that far into the game. You can also set the force feed back from the car to the front wheels so it gives you a better idea of where you're car is steering and aids you in landing better apexes. I know that sounds confusing but just mess around in your garage and you'll see what I'm talking about.

So then I assume you have traction control enabled in the control setting otherwise it would lock it out from the car sliders

It is enabled yes but I change each individual car in the "my garage" section.

    Yeah I get that

I set TC to off , no wonder I'm struggling with so much wheel spin
