I always drove full size half and three quarter ton trucks along with an 87 long bed Toyota. Thought I would really miss having the long bed. Shockingly, I don't miss it at all.

I figured it was specifically designed for a coffee mug...I love that thing. Fits every coffee I buy perfectly, thus no rattling about and spillage!

I don't keep a garage remote in the truck, because it gets parked on the street :notsure:

I only have one pair of sunglasses and they go everywhere with me (my eyes are very sensitive to light). My girl has about 1 million pair of sunglasses, so I figured I would throw a pair in there incase she forgets hers. The compartment is so small it doesn't fit any of her sunglasses:frusty:

The fog light switch that has no indicator light and wastes a valuable blank. Why not just put it on the stalk with the headlights? That solves both problems.

#1 for me is any key that has electronics built in.

Fortunately my base has an old fashioned key with a separate door remote. Meaning I can pull and store the remote and only carry the key when it's likely I'll be getting wet. Which is often.

#2 is all the other gee wiz electronics stuff that just complicates long term maintenance in a needless way, starting with TMPS.

I'm waiting for the time I break it off with my knee. Would've preferred it integrated into the steering wheel.

The matchbook sized screen for the rear camera in the rear-view mirror. I mean, it's nice to have a camera, and this is my first vehicle with one, but I find the screen more frustrating than helpful.

What is this, a television for ants!?!?

My first with a camera too.

It's great for hitching a trailer--not for much else. Totally useless at night. But I do like the idea of it being in the rearview mirror rather than on some lower screen.

What do you use it for? I've heard a few stories, but never really seen the need for it.

No where near useless. Atrac does a damn good job!

Sounds like you need the 886 backup light mod, my rearview camera works great at night with the 35watt GY.6 bulbs in the rear. Also 2012-2013 trucks have a bigger screen in the rearview than 2011- and 2014+ have rear view camera in the nav unit.

I don't have a manual, but I start mine a lot without getting into the truck--usually in the winter to warm it up. Just saves you from having to get in to kick the clutch.

I've heard of people putting it into 1 Low and cranking it over to get it to crawl out of someplace where you want zero risk of riding the clutch, spinning, or rolling back. Can't imagine that's good on the starter so you wouldn't want to do it unless you had to, but it can be done if you need to.

This is its one and only sole designed purpose. There may be other uses but they are only uses by sheer coincidence or imaginative people. It's not hard on the starter so much as the battery. But only if you overly discharge the battery while doing it. Most useful when you stall while climbing a steep hill and you need to feather the gas and hold the brake while restarting. It's also why the manuals have the e-brake release where it's at. Not as critical with FI as it was for carbed trucks. Still useful though.

I'll have to do that. I like cheap mods and always thought the backup lights were a little weak. Thanks!

Its night and day difference. I went with the 35w GY.6 bulbs (like 5 bucks a piece at the hardware store) cus the 55w 886 bulbs can cause melting issues, and everytime i get in my moms 4runner with the same stock bulbs as the taco i go... umm are her reverse lights burnt out cus i cant see shit!!!?

Someone on here fashioned the little compartment left of the steering wheel into his gun holster. He had to cut through the back of it to get the barrel through but it looked clean!
