Aside from the grill, I really like it... Not to mention, the first people to get them are going to start modding them real quick and everyone is going to start drooling...

I see Rear Cross Traffic Alert sensors on the rear bumper of the orange prototype posted in the first post of this thread and it's not a Limited model.

well the quote was from Toyota's website directly under the upcoming vehicles section as of this morning.

edit : and if you look at the pics posted, the 1st pic shows a moonroof even though there is no limited badge on the rear doors.

It's funny how virtually everyone loves the new interior. The exterior is a whole different story. lol

In Canada, the Tacoma lineup isn't the same the US lineup. Over here, they sell the TRD Sport and TRD Sport Premium. The Premium sells for almost the same price as the Limited with most of the accessories, except all the chrome.

We also can't get a double cab 4WD short bed with automatic here.

Still hoping for a DCLB 4x4 with manual transmission. Since this truck is not a clean sheet redesign, I doubt the configuration will be offered. I will have to settle for an auto =(

if you can get all those as either standard or as options on the Sport, then there is really no point in a limited edition of the Tacoma. I imagine the sunroof and RCTA/BSM WILL be regulated to the limited to set it apart.

I can even see them moving the PTS system to the limited also. that's how the limited's for the 4runner are setup and for the limited's for other models for Toyota.

I don't tow, so I don't know. I only drive manuals. More engaging and easier to drive in traffic (most people apparently disagree, I know).

Sitting in Houston traffic is what made me switch to an automatic. traffic moves just enough to make you have to ride the clutch.

I'm really digging the new truck except a few small things: fully boxed frame, and no fuel economy or power specs yet!

Is it just me or are the front fender flares and that random black spot in between the front and rear cab doors driving everyone else nuts?

It looks like the fender flares were made for a different truck. They don't look right at all. Also that black spot in between the two cabs, that's probably just some black plastic sticker. It looks goofy compared to the 2nd generation which we're all used to just seeing painted completely.

Hit the nail on the head, cheesy, vinyl overlay for the doors and the fenders are tiny with random termination points. makes it look cheesy and tacky.

If I were getting one, it would be black or dark gray to mask that problem.

Although I actually think the black OR might look weird with the dark unpainted flares.

Hello all! My first post and thought I'd jump in. I'm liking the new 2016 Tacoma. As with everyone else I'm hoping Toyota releases more info soon.
I currently own a 2006 4Runner, which I love. I previously owned two Tacoma's before I purchased the 4Runner. I'm thinking of buying the TRD Sport model hoping it does come with sunroof and navigation. Any one want to guess how much they are going to be?
Thanks for posting pictures and all the info. All very helpful!

i think the price will be tricky for Toyota. if they raise it too much, people will buy the tundra, they also know in a few years gm will be giving big discounts (4k,5k,6k off a unit), this has been there norm for many years, Toyota has a tough decision to make.
