HA thanks for the words of wisdom dez rats. My rig is daily driven and sees a good amount of towing, this is something I would do only to better the street driving characteristics and would take it off again to offroad. I might just bump up my spring rate in the front, but if I end up going the swaybar route I'll post some pics!

 

Anyone have any 3.0 x 12" shocks laying around or know anyone selling some?

Double cab first gen guys, is there enough room comfortably for a 3rd full size center seat in the rear ? I have no desire to have 4 full seats in my next cab, but 3 is appealing.

 

4 Doors for more...... people? That's how it goes right

 

With a wife and kid, 4 doors for more.....people, went out the window years ago.

 

Good. I'd like the 4 door cab for 3 full sized seats and a little storage on the sides. Now I just need to find a cab.

 

Well with the first gen there is plenty of room for us short fokes. If you could modify the front seats for leg room in the back that is idea. Then again I like to have my front seats all the way back. I like space between me and the steering wheel. I can take measurements for you when I get off work.

 

Im not a tall guy so seats being close to the steering wheel work in my favor. Also, no air bags, full cage and 5 points should do the trick. Not enough frame to salvage off the single cab, so a tube/ boxed frame will be in order. Anyone looking for a single cab with no front suspension lol

The old Donahoe 7s was set up like this.... there was pretty good pics of the interior if you can find their for sale ad from the past.

 

Im sure plenty of you have rebuilt your own shocks, i have a question about the reservoirs, i have a set of 2.5x16 smoothies and im going to be revalving them myself. Is there anything special about doing shocks with resi's?

im assuming if i dont plan on replacing the seals within the resi i dont need to mess with it, any tricks or info would be appreciated...
