So anyone want to go party on the Buffalo River next weekend? Buddy of mine is goin with a bunch of folks and asked me so I'm thinkin about it.

Looking back at my wreck I do not see how I did not flip when she ran the red light. Goes to show you can do a 180 at 40mph and not flip with your sway bar off lol.

are you guys sandblasting the paint off before you repaint the sliders or just adding more?

 

Are you suggesting that I should take a sandblaster to the side of my truck?

ref painting the sliders. and no not sandblasting the truck, but since you had it all covered, I didnt know if you were getting it down to bare metal before you painted or not. I am going to have to do the same to mine since all the joints that we welded at the shop have surface rust. I am going to try and "sand" the rust off first but probably wont get it all due to the position. if you guys are just paintin over it all, I wont feel as bad when i do the same haha. I also changed out the diff fluid today in prep for the return home (after 500 mile "break in" period). Im ready for this trip comin up

 

Just sand down what you can. I use a drill and a wire wheel to get off the heavy rust then some 60 grit sand paper to scratch the shit out of the rest of it then paint. I spray paint all my armor for a reason. Hopefully come June 19th I'll be rubbing a lot of it back off. That's just part of the game. Maybe in 3 more years I'll paint the sliders again. Haha

 

Going to sand mine down just to scuff it up for prep. Any rust spots get a good sanding and what I don't get will get sprayed with a paint that turns rust into something else. Then a couple coats of gloss black.

 

Just emailed ecgs about 4.56's and an ARB air locker. Narrowed the list for this summer down to retros, gears and locker, leaf packs, and tires.

And Adam, I still haven't put those UCA's on, the driver's side started squeaking today. lol. I'm going to put them on the weekend before LBL.

I may, not sure yet but I doubt she'll be able to. Her parents are a little more protective than the last one and don't want her staying the night with me yet. But she's also a lot better looking than the last one so that's a plus.
