Looking for new tires for my 2011 Tacoma 4x4. Do mostly highway driving and some offroad for hunting purposes. Going with 265/70/17, but cant decide on which tire to go with. Have it narrowed down to The Hankook or the General as they are the cheapest in price and seem like they get the best reviews. The Hankook is about $130 a tire vs the General at $150 per tire. Anyone have experience with either or both of these? Which ones should I buy???

    Thanks

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
Only valuable opionion would be from those who have had both.

That being said, I have the Kooks, and like them.

I'll second this. We had a brutal winter this year and mine did excellent. I travel to our regional office from MA to ME(~3 hours one way) a few times a week. I got a lot a of seat time with mine in the snow and they were fantastic. Also, the generals have a tougher sidewall so better for offroading. I would go with the generals personally. Another good thing about the generals is that they have full depth siping, not sure about the hankooks. I think the generals look better too.

Thanks for the reply. I am thinking they look better as well. Leaning toward the Generals...

I have the Hankooks on my truck; also have them and some of the Generals on some of our work trucks. Can't answer for snow, but the Generals seem to chunk out lots easier / worse on sharp edged rough rock trails we drive on. I vote Hankook Dynapro ATM.

I'm leaning toward the Hankooks after reading some more reviews. Thanks
