Good news for anyone getting a frame replacement (in Annapolis anyways). I've been out of a truck since Christmas, but it looks like the end is near!

So I got all I need from Bawlmore, well almost. I need to verify one minor thing and was hoping you fine gents can help me. Under the truck, as if you're laying on your back in the center with your head under the transmission and feet under the bed or cab for people vertically impaired, I need anyone to verify something on their chassis. Toward the rear where the cassis begins to curve up to go over the rear axle, the inside of the chassis has a piece welded to the c shape that turns vertical for 10" before before curving up over the rear axle. Toyota did this at some point during the 2nd gens because I made a set of sliders for and '05 where that welded piece was not but so far I've checked '11 to present and it is there. It is a crucial part to my bolt one slider design. So, if you have a 2010 or older and can help me out by checking, please do. A simple year and yes or no is all I need. I hope you can. Also, after something I was considering on doing and then talking to Tim (Balwmore) tonight, I'm going to do a local meet up at my house. Come by, bring your trucks, have a bbq and beer on us and let's bullshit. Have something needing welded but don't have one, bring it with you and I'll weld it up free of charge. Need help installing something, we'd do that too. Have ideas you want to toss around, bring them up and we'll brainstorm and make it happen. Anything you got, we will help! I'll put up an official thread on the MD forum with a time and date shortly.

Also, I want to plan a camping trip to either flagpole, peters mill, or shoe creek at some point this summer. I haven't been camping in a few years and I think it'd be awesome.. Thinking of late June or sometime in July probably.. Obviously no set date yet though

 

A meet up/camping trip, I'm down! I've been trying to make time since the weather broke to get back in the woods.

 

I've got a RTT that needs to be tried out, so I'm down for a camping trip as well. I'd also like to get a lunch meeting or a mod-day meet up going sometime in the future (I'm thinking late June or July).

 

Soooo...uh...anyone doing a mod day anytime soon? I need some help installing my AAL. Floor jack decided to crap out and don't feel like buying a new one right now.

 

It's active duty time for me (reservist), so I'm not free until after June 20, but I will gladly help with the leaf.

 

Have a jack and/or electric/air impact wrench? May need em. I doubt i'll tackle them before I get some help. Did that with my front lift. Got it done, but wasn't worth the hassle of not having a second set of hands. The rear leafs should be easier, but then again, I thought the fronts would be easy too

Speaking of camping/meet ups, I managed to swing every Saturday off next month. So, I'm down for anything next month as long as it's a Saturday! Maybe we can all plan something for the 27th at....Rausch? Or maybe somewhere in WV/VA. Last offroad/camping trip I did was in Greenridge when it was open, when I had my old Jeep.

See when I park it like this I see how much I needed those AAL. truck sits level now but it definitely LOOKS nose high.
